So I was just thinking about something I've never heard anyone talk about before.

What do we know about CBD's effects?: The main, concrete, no one can deny it actually does effect is seizure reduction in difficult to treat epilepsy cases. It's also known it blocks cannabinoid receptors from being activated to some extent.

Then we have the effects we're basically all sure exist but don't know for sure to what extent and more research needs to be done so we know more about treating diseases and recreational use. We're pretty sure it helps with anxiety, somehow can help with pain in one way or another (this is bordering on going down a tier because we really don't know how the hell it does any of this or how well it does it), it also aborts highs (this is important here) fairly well, or at the very least seems to reduce paranoia/anxiety caused by too much THC. There are even more speculational effects but they're not important here.

So we know THC isn't actually that great for pain most of the time, it works a lot better to combine with CBD. Another fairly well accepted feature of THC and CBD both are that it seems like for many people, a barely-above-borderline dose will sometimes help certain symptoms/cause different effects than when you take a very high dose.

CBD seems to help with pain when combined with THC, is it perhaps because it has the same effect as taking a borderline dose of THC? Only a small amount is making it to your receptors and maybe it's just basically like taking a very small dose of THC, which can sometimes prove better for pain than a large dose, at least as far as all the stuff I've read (and I've read a lot) goes.

Maybe CBD seems to work well for pain when combined with THC because it's maximizing THC's pain relief potential, rather than adding its own effects.

Completely random thought... just thought someone might be interested to talk about it. Otherwise ignore me I'm just thinking out loud.

Another well-documented effect of CBD is as a strong anti-inflammatory. I was always of the mind that any anxiolytic effects come from the reduction of inflammation causing muscle relaxation. The calmness would be indirectly imposed by that feeling of relaxation. But that's just my speculation

Fuck, we need real research so bad. Imagine the possible unknown/little-documented effects.

I doubt much more will come out. Cannabis is already indicated as medicinal in a bunch of disorders.

Aphria (a Canadian licensed producer) is testing smokable Cannabis in phase III clinical trials for pain control. If it passes, it gains a DIN (drug identification number), is thus non taxable and is covered under every drug plan in Canada.

Tom

[It 100% prevents nausea from a shitload of prescribed meds I take - better than gravol, odansetron or maxeran for me]

It "definitely" helps maybe a few, but really 95% of the shit you see it indicated for in medical laws in the liberal states is basically because it makes you feel less shitty in general. It's not like it's really stomach cancer, or IBS, or any one of the billion things claimed, a loooooooot of the time it's just because being stoned feels good. Not that I think that's a bad thing or anything.

I'm getting tired of wax. It's becoming boring and was always messy. Need to pick up some bud soon.

That last pic is 30%

Also, those nugs are tiny. I love my phone's camera. Phone costs less than $300 brand new, has all the must-have features for me, especially that fucking amazing camera with 2.3x optical zoom.

nice flowers you got there! strain?

I am pretty satisfied with myself because I only used weed once in over two weeks even though I have a pretty decent stash at home. I hope I can keep up with that kinda self control, because usually for me it's either break or everyday, nothing in between, but neither is satisfying for me. and the high I had a few days ago was the nicest I had in a while... and my lungs also take a liking to it.

Catholic School Girl, I emailed the farm (Pruf Cultivar if you wanna look them up) and they said it's a cross between Girl Scout Cookies and Teacher's Pet (which I can't find any info on but I suspect may be a GSC child) so I'm leaning towards it basically being a nice GSC child/pheno. I've never been disappointed with anything that's come from GSC in my life, it's interesting.

I've been high every day for a few weeks but to be fair a few of those days were a really light buzz, I wouldn't really say stoned. I'd like to take a day off but I see no reason to currently.

Probably the best 4/20 of my life so far and I have been celebrating it for years. Since age 17 (tried it a few times between the ages of 13-17 and didnt enjoy it till I was a senior in HS. 4/20 is a more special day to me than Christmas lol. Literally woke up smoked .4-.5g through the bongy. Ate 5 15mg THC gummies and dosed 20mg of 4acoDMT. Then proceeded to smoke up borderline too much of my stash all day long. I love cannabis! Cant wait to grow my own glorious buds. Gonna be looking for some top notch seeds soon :D

About to take my last bong snap till my new ghetty green comes into my possession=D :X.

Did the old grinder in the freezer and shake out all that THC goodness to but in my bowl. Gonna take a few shots of svedka then take this snap. Should only be about 2 days before I reup!

It just occurred to me I didn't mention up there but cannabis helps my psoriasis like crazy, makes it virtually disappear. I use a topical preparation that contains a few other ingredients but I think the thc/cbd really make a difference

Hope they pay their budtenders who do the harvest, cure, and trim a lot. They deserve it.

Budtenders don't tend to the buds, they just sell them. Think of it like a bartender with weed. Though a background in growing will help for sure, they're not exactly the same.

Nice nugs, in any case.

you mean topicals containing cannabis? do you know about the preparation, concentration and so? I also have psoriasis and recently made an extract from some trainwreck trim in olive oil (heated it for an hour for decarboxylation), but only used it once on my scalp so not sure yet if it helps...

You sure you're talking about the same thing as me? On job listings for cannabis farms here they talk about their budtenders picking, curing, trimming, etc.
