Wow man, I'm sorry you have to deal with that. What the fuck? People can be so selfish. Not everyone is though. You don't really know me but I'm always available, via the written word. <3

I almost feel bad posting this but I'm excited so fuck it... I just won employee of the year at my job for 2017! I've been up for it almost every year I've worked there (12 years), but I finally won it! The prize is $2000 (minus taxes) which is quite timely as I need some car repairs done and such. :)

I'm really angry that the people in my personal life (family and "friends", though I'm not so sure about the friend part) have just about completely blown me off since my dad passed away a week ago.

I have NOT asked one person for a dollar to borrow, a ride, help with the arrangements, cleaning out the house or anything else of that nature. The only messages that I have sent to anybody have been to ask them if and when they might be around because I could really use someone to talk to right now...

and NOTHING! One automated reply from a "friend" of 25+ years to confirm that she read my message.

I know that I may not have always been the greatest friend on earth when I was going through a lot of my addiction and other issues, but I always did my best to help somebody in need.

I will never, EVER, ask for another thing from anybody again. EVER! (and they better not expect anything from me either.)

That's is a really unhealthy and unhelpful agreement to make with yourself that could easily cause years more of suffering. Don't allow yourself to make self-limiting and destructive agreements against yourself because the people that happen to be in relationship with you right now are shitty.

Fuck yes, dude. I've been refraining from posting as well as 2018 has been the best year of my life, so far. Everything is falling apart, but the new is already growing so quickly, and there's so much to be thankful for both here and on the horizon.

I feel you man. I'm not very experienced with death but if you just want to shoot the shit feel free to pm me too.

I was gonna write more but don't want to bring the thread any further down. I'm happy for you Xork and Psy, hope the vibes keep up.

Hey, congrats on that :)

What about you, psy? What is it that you are excited about? We could use some positive vibes here

Let the experiments begin!

Nice, it's a beautiful sight, aint it? :)

Thanks for the congrats all, it's been a good day. :) I have my yearly review tomorrow too, I'm gonna lean on them to promote me officially into the role I already made for myself, and let them know I love working here but I need to start making more money (there are some people in my same position who make more than me by a good bit because they've been there a long time, but I add way more to the company, in fact they told me today they have no idea what they'd do without me because I "make everything possible"). A fat raise would really be nice, and it's been a while.

Man, I just found out my company is even paying the taxes on the $2000 reward so I'm just straight up getting 2 grand. Fucking sweet. :) Gonna round out my crypto portfolio and fix my car and put some in savings.

I was gonna fix up my car with my tax return. I spent most of it on recent vet bills though... Hopefully I start raking in cash at my new job. It's very much a sink or swim type gig but I think I'll make do alright.

Hey, Xorkorth, What cryptos are you investing in ? I had some leftover bitcoins and ETH that inflated as fukc during 2017, spent some on drugs during ATH, but hodl'd most. During January crash exchanged some for VeChain and XRB. Now hoping the price goes up again. I'm putting small money on it though, and don't day trade. I'm on it mostly out of curiosity, and it's been kinda fun too, lol. Maybe on the next ATH I'll just cash out.

I don't day trade either, except occasionally I'll swing trade when there is a piece of news and I buy whatever crypto is getting hyped and sell when I get to 10/15% profit or whatever, really short trades. I have quite a bit of XRB, I may add more too but it's my second biggest holding, I really believe in it because their product works and it's the best currency there is (no fees, instant, very little electricity to power the network). I also have Lisk/LSK, it's my biggest one at the moment, great app platform like ETH, except it uses more common programming languages including Javascript which should attract more developers, it's a competitor to NEO I'd say (and ETH) but still much lower market cap than NEO. Plus it's been VERY steady with its BTC price, even during the recent crash/correction the BTC price barely had a dent in it. I've also got QLC (QLink), it's very cheap and low market cap right now, it is trying to provide a decentralized internet service. I also have VEN like you do, I think it seems like a good project. I have some WTC (WaltonChain) which is also a great project. Finally I have some PRL (OysterPearl), which is a very low market cap and has been getting some hype and also seems like a good project.

Basically I try to diversify into mostly pretty solid things, and a small percentage into low market cap/speculative things, hoping one or more of them takes off and hits a billion market cap... if my QLC hits a billion, my $250 will become $5000, and a billion is pretty small for a crypto that actually gets adopted. Same with PRL. The rest I expect less growth but more stability. If my small market cap ones make it big, I'll reinvest the gains in the same proportion, try to hit some more small market caps while they're getting started and flip those too.

I also bought 18,000 SVD tokens from the savedroid ICO... very interesting project, I will probably wait for the initial peak when it gets listed on HitBTC and sell, then rebuy the same amount when it drops off (almost all ICOs follow the same pattern when first listed). I believe in the project but it's probably a few years away from coming to fruition.

I'm also interested in all of the following:

- QASH (they are creating a "world book" which plans to link up all cryptos, fiat, and even other investments like commodities, so you can instantly go between them all, eliminating all the difficulty with crypto <-> fiat and so forth, using their QASH token for liquidity. Basically a global liquidity system, could be huge if it works out and it's still quite cheap, they haven't been advertising at all, just working on their product)
- SNM (SONM - distributed fog supercomputer through blockchain, super cool project)
- POWR (Power ledger)
- ZRX (0x, framework for decentralized exchanges which we need badly, decentralized exchanges would use smart contracts to move currency between private wallets owned by each party in a trade, rather than how centralized exchanges have possession of your money until you withdraw, and then they charge fees to withdraw. And in some cases, like with BitGrail recently, and Mt Gox back in the day, they can fail or turn scammer and steal your money. Decentralized exchanges eliminate that aspect, and also make hacking much less likely.)
- ARDR (app platform designed to sell to others to create sub-chains, Ardor holders can stake their coins and receive rewards for Ardor and ALL sub-chains. So years from now it will be very profitable to hold, if it becomes popular)
- COSS (The token (like KuCoin Shares for KuCoin) for a new exchange that is already operational, very low market cap still and it's getting hyped, also holding it gives weekly dividends. Unfortunately the exchange absolutely can't seem to get an account activation email through to my email, I've tried over and over, it's not in spam, it's been 3 days with multiple re-sends. Weird. I plan to pick up like $200-300 worth and hold it for a while, get some dividends, and if it seems to be at risk of crashing I'll sell after hopefully 10x at least. The exchange seems like it could be great though, many more fiat gateways, they're trying to make it easier to buy crypto with fiat, and some other stuff too, interesting project)

Holy shit that looks like a big post on my phone at night, willl read that later :)

Dreamflyer: it sucks to hear people are blowing you off dude! I feel technical to offer you a list of possible reasons that might be behind it, understanding it is not the fix.. But i do think from experience that suffering shows superficial relationships from deeper ones and also that sometimes people close themselves off from the suffering of others when they suffer themselves. Unfortunately it could be hars to guess which reasons account for a certain case so I can't help there...
Either way it requires guts to overcome both of those and care for a friend or family even

Came here to post some totally different thing, nonsense hnrelated to anything

Basically a question or puzzle to use a video on psychology and conpassion (which is one of the first parts after the intro) and answer me this:

How do the effects of psychedelics and what we learned recently about their effects on the brain (increasing cross-communication while leaving fixed paths behind) to explain how plenty of trippers expand their sense of compassion.
?

I've been feeling wrist pain for months, it also goes up the side of my arm. I also have some toe joint pain which I've had for years, and random pains that come and go in my joints, mostly shoulders. recently my wrist started hurting when I play and since I'm a musician this freaked me out enough to finally go to a joint specialist.

So I got in there, and the doctor started moving my arm and wrist around trying to find out where it hurts. Then she noticed my psoriasis, and my fingernails. Now, for a few years I ave had what I originally thought was psoriasis spots under my fingernails that appear at the base and slowly grow out. But then various people including a different doctor told me it looked like nail fungus. I've tried some things to get rid of it but I never can. The doctor yesterday told me that it looks just like the first warning sign of psoriatic arthritis. Basically psoriasis in the joints. It can become quite debilitating. They took some blood and I'm anxiously awaiting the lab results. She said she could be wrong but it really looks like that and would explain the joint pain too. She said there are some treatment options. The first one we'd try would be an oral anti-inflammatory. Not sure what the other options are.

Sorry to hear that. I used to suffer with a form a crippling arthritis (it's hereditary; my dad also suffered terribly from it). Finally, I discovered Prednisone. It's the only thing that ever worked
for me, and it is miraculous for treating joint pain/inflammation. I only need one 10mg tablet daily, and many days none at all. I have been taking it for 10 years with no side effects. I gather Prednisone is the best oral anti-inflammatory. In my experience, nothing else compares. My problem of cripplingly painful wrists, elbows, ankles, knees and feet was completely solved.

:)

I keep recommending it everywhere, but Carbon-60, too. It's anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties are absolutely unreal. c-60 dot you know is my favorite brand but purple power is supposed to be amazing as well. The success stories that are popping up from both animal and human use are pretty crazy. Who knew Carbon could be so good for Carbon based lifeforms? =D

Eliminating gluten and dairy seems to be helping for sure, I don't feel any pain in my wrist the past few days, and even some of my skin psoriasis spots are fading. :)

I saw a dude today in an integrative medicine clinic that looked, I shit you guys not, exactly like Vortech. I had to do a double take it was so eerie. I felt his presence for a bit, and decided I'd share when I was back home.

I even played guitar today and it didn't hurt at all... 2 weeks ago it hurt a lot and I decided I just couldn't do it anymore. :)

Me and my music friends talked about vortech tonight. They didn't realize he had passed. We talked about how awesome his music was.

Oh man I didn't realize that either, I haven't been in here so much lately. Bye Vortech rest in peace dude.
