Henry 1/8 Episode 4: A New Dope

My pipe has accumulated a fair amount of black tarry stuff in the cooler section, to the point you have to heat up and melt the tar before you can actually smoke through it. Is that stuff good for anything, or should I just rinse the whole thing out with solvents and get back to smoking my regular herb?
 
You could try extracting something of worth using a solvent, but i'd personally just rinse it out.

Works for me, I'll crack the window when I'm done raiding and sluice the whole thing out with methylated spirits. And then maybe set it on fire to dry it quickly : D
 
We used to call that resin in the pipe / bong stem "poor mans". It will get you high if you are desparate but its fucking disgusting to smoke. My advice is to clean your pipe and throw it away. Its the weed equivalent of picking up ciggie butts out of an ashtray and smoking them...

And what's the problem with smoking dog ends? (I said smoking, not sucking!!). Fuckin hell, you middle class hippies - not having to smoke pipe residue, not having to pick fag ends out of the ashtray, good acid on tap, buying coke at $400/g - some of you don't know yer fuckin born...
 
Many a time I've collected roaches from my ashtray and rerolled the tarred shitty contents into a spanking new spliff. The taste is always horrid and borderline vomit inducing but worth it when you've got shit all else.

It's actually getting easier here now. I experimented with some outdoor autos bred for our northern latitude last year, and though the yield wasn't spectacular, I didn't have to piss about with lights, pH, nutrients or any of that shit and got a quality smoke in 10 weeks. Gonna fill me fuckin garden this year ;)
 
Alas the logistics did not work out to allow me to set anything on fire, but everything is looking a lot shinier and cleaner than it was when I started, and is now drying out on the radiator. Touch wood it'll smoke a lot nicer tomorrow once it's dry. It probably could have done with a proper scrubbing but I don't have a spare toothbrush to hand, so I settled for a good thorough scraping with the screwdriver blade on my leatherman.

Growing is definitely the go. I much prefer outdoor grown organic weed and we have the perfect climate for it. We end up with trees not plants lol. Those ruderalis autoflowering crosses would certainly come in handy for you guys.

I've tried a few of those hybrids in the past. Go old fashioned Russian ditch hemp crossed with High grade. Ultimately there is always a massive compromise. They never really get going on the crystals. Yield is always low due to grow and flower time plus they are Ok for a smoke but tend to leave you wanting more. But as you say plant and leave em pretty much alone so not much work.

IMHO watch out for cats they seem to love taking a quick squirt on the girls. Don't know why but cats do appear to like weed (who wouldn't).
