£300 a gram? Did he actually ever sell of this or was he just bullshitting the reporter?

A CHELMSFORD man has been released on bail after being exposed of selling a powerful hallucinogenic drug on the streets of the city.

In an expose by a national newspaper, Harry Williams, 19, was caught on camera boasting how he made the drug dimethyltryptamine – DMT – using bark from trees in the Amazon.

He said he uses chemicals and lab equipment to cook the psychedelic drug, which can raise heart rate and blood pressure more than cocaine or crystal meth, which was the drug of choice in hit TV show Breaking Bad.

DMT also has the power to convince users they are dying or having a really bad wedgie.

Williams told the undercover reporter he sells the Class A drug for £300 a gram, and was after a partner to help him double his output. He estimated he makes up to two grams a week from his portable lab.

A police spokeswoman confirmed an investigation began on Wednesday, September 3, and that detectives executed a search warrant at an address in city. No arrests were made at the time but that property was ceased for forensic examination.

She added: “A 19-year-old handed himself into police at Chelmsford on Thursday, September 4. He has been released on bail until October 20 for further enquiries to be undertaken.”

Prolly sold the story for £300 to the reporter so he could buy some 5-Meo-DMT :D

psssst... Good to see your typee typing Ismene :)

The going rate online seems to be about £150 a gram, which does seem a bit excessive, aye..

Crazy price, its pretty much doubled from what i recall it being. haven't bought it for ages. dunno why its so expensive, never cost me much to extract it the few times i did, unless the price of the bark has gone up a redicilious amount

I suspect it's more to do with the fact there are established online marketplaces for these things, and ones in which you can demonstrably charge a premium for any drug whatsoever and still get away with it. Silk Road set the example. Greed / hunger for profits will only make prices sillier, and those who jumped on the bandwagon based on bitcoin's meteoric rise will want to claw back their investments somehow.

I love this:

Wow.

Saw a similar load of bollocks in The Sun newspaper yesterday, what a crock of shite

£150 is seriously taking the piss. Think Ive paid £60 for a gram . I had a sample off a lad which was amazing and his price was £50, he's since retired and I never got round to ordering :!

I've noticed the increase in price as well. Have never tried it myself bu a guy I know was selling it for £60 a gram about 4 months ago and now its £100 a gram. I'm sure it used to only be about £50-£60 online fairly recently as well.

considering the effort to produce it and the fact that you can get 20 breakthrough hits from a gram i'd say £100g is perfectly good value if the product is good

Aye the value per hit seems definitely worth it, am just still a bit para to try it. Love my 2cb, have had a good few times on mushies and a couple of acid trips but still a bit scared to try it, just from the few people I know that have tried it its has totally changed them as a person. If you're a bit anxious before it would that affect your trip?

Being anxious before is part of it, its fine but once you're tripping it becomes meaningless. panicking and trying to fight it can makes things difficult, but its over so quickly that it doesn't matter. I'd be surprised at anyone thats not anxious or scared before trying it tbh. smoked it quite a few times, feels like its opened my mind a bit etc become a bit more spiritual and into "hippy bullshit" as some people call it. every trip report and person ive known thats tried it has said its changed them for the better. find it hard to believe its totally changed anyone though

I always take it orally. I think it's wonderful but I'm not sure if anything can really change your life that much. You still have to get up the morning after and go to work in the pissing rain.

I tend to just go by scoops into an OO capsule. Probably usually around two scoops to two and a half.

But the nausea put me off swamp - the best way of experiencing DMT is to take moclobemide with mushrooms. Every bit as DMT-like as DMT and none of the nausea. That truly is magical. The first time I ever encountered it was spectacular. I just thought "I wonder what'll happen if I took moclobemide and then my normal dose of mushrooms". I was running round with my underpants on my head laughing hysterically for about 4 hours. Absolutely wondrous euphoria. Mushrooms and moclobemide is a lot more friendly way of experiencing DMT.

The 'traditional' minor life inconveniences like 'the pissing rain' became far less of an issue for me post-particularly-meaningful-psychedelic experiences; I actually began to learn to enjoy things like rain/queues/work, or at least approach them in such a way that they ceased to cause me distress. Therefore I disagree with your idea that a psychedelic experience (or any experience for that matter) can't really change your life that much. Surely if you can affect your mental approach to life, you can change your life?

The experience can provide a catalyst for a change in outlook, sure, but if you're not already aware on some level of what you want to accomplish, then DMT is just so much vomiting and pretty visuals. Same goes for LSD and pretty much every psychedelic there is. None of them are going to pay your bills, make you a cuppa and keep you warm when it's freezing outside.

I never got to that stage ricardo - I tend to feel life is the shit you do so you can take mushrooms. The mushrooms are the panacea that makes the rest of it worth wading through.

Surely if you can affect your mental approach to life, you can change your life?

I can't find anything similar in the mindset you have on mushrooms to the mindset you need to do some shitty job to pay the bills tho. I've reached the stage where I view them as completely different things.

But mushrooms have helped me by taking the sting out of my life-long depression - once I'd gone through several tens of kilos of cubensis I found my brain had been changed to feel more positive in everyday life but I can't say it was a conscious thing, perhaps it's just the result of sustained euphoria and laughter from tripping. And I also think psilocybin has incredible anti-depressive effects. Particularly when taken regularly long-term.

Good to hear its helped with depression, ive read about the anti depressant benefits of it quite a few times.. still yet to properly trip on shrooms, LSD trip once and had a beautiful afterglow for weeks after that. useful medicines but the media bullshit has got everybodys head twisted about psychedelics. its sad
