2013-2014 NBA Thread v. AI is officially retired

if the Sixers take Wiggins im officially a Wizards fan, even if they sign Lebron

this is one of the biggest nights of my life as an NBA fan

ok at least I dont have to kill myself now

considering neither of their two picks will be playing next year most likely that means one more year of slop

extra sloppy for yas!

Nik Stauskas to the Sacramento kings!

Aaah shit that is going to be a good fit for him. I like it

and seriously Shabazz Napier still isn't drafted?? He's the best PG and one if the best players in this draft. I can't believe it, whoever drafts him now is getting the steal of the draft

76ers made the 2 worst picks I've seen in a long time

Celtics wasted a pick on Marcus Smart . He might be the most overrated player in this draft

Mitch McGary to OKC !

Niceeeeee

Watch the spurs get an amazing pick at #30. I guarantee they'll end up having a better 1st round pick than over half of the league.

Please be Glenn Robinson III
Please let go to the spurs

its funny because I remember saying at one point in the college thread "until everyone realized Embiid is a better pro prospect than Wiggins" and now I have to live with that. He could be the next DeAndre Jordan, or the next Greg Oden, I really have no idea. The bottom line is 7 footers who can run and shoot dont really come around very often and I feel they had the luxury of expecting to suck for the next few years so they took a chance on Embiid. If both him and Nerlens Noel turn out to be decent players though, my god is that a defensive pairing. Odds are one of them will never pan out for health reasons and there's a chance both of them could never pan out, really too early to tell. I have more faith in both of them than Andrew Bynum however, and they are both better defenders than Spencer Hawes ever will be.

I knew Payton was a trade scenario, he basically is Michael Carter-Williams only blacker. For the 1st rounder in 2017 the Sixers gave to the Magic in the Bynum deal, the magic's 2nd rounder next year, and Dario Saric. Never heard of him, Jalen Rose says he's like Vlade Divac. Whatever/10, more about the magic's pick imo you know they arent going anywhere fast. If he ever plays over here that's just a bonus. I was never a huge fan of European bigs tbh but they've been getting better lately

the rest of the guys are either european or just fast break finishers / defensive players mostly but honestly they were absoutely horrendous on defense last year and will probably be bottom 5 this year as well

lebron probably isnt coming to philly, ill admit that. but Thaddeus Young is definitely leaving soon. honestly I just want to see Noel play once and for all

lol it looks exactly like him. i try to give guys the benefit of the doubt but I think ur the dad bro

Shaun Livingston --> GSW
I like it

CJ Miles--> IND
Meh, he's an alright shooter but no Lance Stephenson.. Lance isn't going to stay in Indy for 5yr/$44mil. I think he'll get offered $50+ somewhere else

Darren Collison--> SAC
I wonder if they are going to trade Isaiah Thomas?

remember when I was a Sacramento Kings fan for like 13 minutes until they traded Tyreke?

the Kings are the new Clippers

I can see Lance going to Dallas

no wait I thought they traded Monta Ellis, idk I dont really care where Lance Stephenson winds up the guys a punkass

oh shit Noel was hitting that mid range shot and free throws in his first spring league game

this make me happy in pants

Mitch McGary looking real good in the Summer League

Guarantee he'll be backing up Steven Adams this season and possibly take his starting spot at C, but I don't see that happening in his first season unless Adams gets injured

I love the fit though, I think it's perfect. He's going to play really well down low with Ibaka.

Westbrook/Jackson
Lamb/Butler
Durant
Ibaka
McGary/Adams

That's nasty.

Miami signs Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger

Lol Lebron is probably like.. wtf how are these guys going to get me a championship.

He's going back to Cleveland, no doubt.

Bosh is going to Houston

Parsons is going to Dallas

Melo Stays in New York

Somehow the Pacers get rid of Hibbert and George Hill

Please let this fucking trade happen:

Boston sends:

Rajon Rondo
Kelly Olynk
Jarod Bayless

Indiana sends:

Roy Hibbert
George Hill
2nd round Draft pick

Rondo on the pacers would be sickkkkkkk

damn then id have to be a pacers fan

Noel > McGary

pls

youre so wrong about noel

I don't know when exactly it happened, but I just feel really good about the Sixers right now . It's easy to just assume both Embiid and Noel will get re-injured but let's just assume they both dont. I see that being the best frontcourt in the NBA in two years when Embiid comes back.

Did anyone even watch this guy play in college? He's a fucking freak, and if it weren't for the injury he'd be number one and the Sixers probably would have drafted Wiggins.

so that injury could either be the best or worst thing to happen to the Sixers, but Id like to think it will be the former.

They both move so well for big men, I see this team becoming the next lob city when everything comes together since MCW forces a lot of fast breaks with his defense

with two legitimate shot blockers around the rim, teams are going to have to settle for a lot of shots, which is really the best way to beat superstars since it becomes more just about their shot making which is always random.

and watch Jerami Grant become a contributor right away. He is all over the box score, and will probably be a pretty good defender in the NBA

the problem remains however, this team has little to no outside shooters. What's the point of having two skilled big men if there isnt anyone to take advantage of open looks?

pretty much no point really, but they have the luxury of wanting to suck as I pointed out after the draft

and they will this year, they will be absolutely horrible

and I love it. A lot of people have forgotten about the Sixers here, but I just have a feeling after this year the team is going to really come together and ill be able to drive my 2016 Bandwagon right into the playoffs.

then again it's not really a bandwagon if you've stuck through the Evan Turner/Andrew Bynum/Spencer Hawes era

I almost had to bail on the Sixers with the Wiggins thing but now I'm glad it didnt come to that

went looking for the OK St game highlights, of course it's on youtube. No wonder Marcus Smart was pushing fans, if I got rejected like that just after 3 mins in I'd probably be beside myself

championship. its gonna happen

Lol I feel bad for you cause that team will not turn out good and then they'll trade off half of their team in 3 years and try again

and fail.

How can you be a fan of a team that purposely loses games to get draft picks.

Tell me one time in history a team has purposely lost games in order to get top draft picks, and then become a championship team.
It's never happened.

When you pay guys millions of dollars every year and tell the it's ok to lose games, eventually that will just carry on throughout their careers. It's going to be team filled with players who only care about inflating their stats to hopefully get a huge contract from another team(Thaddeus young, MCW)

Lol watching them play last year was a joke, they never passed the ball unless it was to each other

Also how could you not be excited about Aaron craft? Probably the smartest ring I've seen the 76ers do so far

Their is a reason golden state picked him up for the Las Vegas summer league too

All-Big Ten Third Team (2014)
NABC Defensive Player of the Year (2014)
Big Ten Tournament MVP (2013)
2× Academic All-American of the Year (2013–2014)
All-Big Ten Second Team (2013)
2× All-Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year (2012, 2014)
4× Big Ten All-Defensive Team (2011–2014)
Big Ten All-Freshman Team (2011)
All-Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year (2011)

You don't earn all of those awards being some chump. Not many people have that type of resume coming into the NBA, and I'd say it's pretty impressive

The big ten has the best guards of any conference too by far. He's also the reason Trey Burke went to Michigan

Mavericks offer Chandler Parsons 3yrs/$45 mil
Holy shit.

No way he could turn that down

but lol if the Pacers think they can sign Lance Stephenson for just under $9 mil a season when Parsons will be getting $15 mil per season

My prediction is lance ends up in Boston or LA for about $12mil a year, cause he definitely ain't staying if he's getting George Hill money and payed half of what Hibbert makes and he fucking sucks. Stephenson is clearly the 2nd best player on the pacers

George Hill - $8 mil a year
Roy Hibbert - $18 mil a year

Lololol you have to be mentally retarded to hand out that kind of money to those two players... Especially Hibbert
