Do not mess with 25i, my roomate tried to kill me last night

I wrote this all last night before I went to bed. Beyond craziest night of my life. Be careful with this stuff

It all started when he took two tabs of what my friend called "Devil's Acid" at 815. Everything was cool and going according to plan when he started having visuals around 9ish. He said he felt like it would be a strong trip. I decided I wanted to dose too, and took 1 tab at 1010. Things started to go crazy really fast.
We started talking crazy things about connections between thoughts and realities. He said he kept being stuck in loops over and over again. I told him stuff to think about. We went and smoked a little weed to mellow out. Then he got back inside and jumped up and started pouring cinnamon on himself. I thought this would be the highlight of an interesting night... Then he got weird.
He went to the bathroom. Came back and said "Oops, guess i pissed myself" then he went and completely flipped a coffee table. There were glass inserts, so he broke one and started playing with the glass. He then started throwing it around, first at the wall laughing, it made a hole. The next second he went and pulled me down and started wailing on me a little bit. I was on the ground, then he switched his focus and started punching the wall hard, really fast. Then he said "Owe that hurt; I broke my hand" Monotone the whole time
He's 20, 6'1 and built, super athletic white boy
He sat back on the couch for a while, then got violent. He said to my roomate on the couch "What if I just kill you right now" as he had a shard in his hand. He then tried to throw a sharp piece of glass at him. It bounced off his chin and cut his neck. No major bleeding. He then yelled for me. He ran and barricaded himself in his room... leaving me tripping alone with him. This is around 11:40. He then tried to run outside. I coaxed him back him, then he stripped butt naked and ran out again. He ran out yelling then he straight jumped and smashed some dude's windshield. I had my phone unlocked freaking out who to call. I finally called the cops as he hit me several times in the face as I'm backing away Saying "I'm stronger then you, what if I kill you??" I ran for my life as he tracked behind. Called 911 several times until 911 showed up eventually with a firetruck that he attacked. They blasted a horn and he ran away. I ran to the firetruck and they told me he just ran off into traffic and to just wait it out at my place.
I walk back and see that he smashed up 2 cars, attacked a homeless, attacked me several times. And did property damage to someone's porch. All while naked.
The entire time he was mumbling "What if I live in the moment", "So we should just kill ourselves?", and "If there's no consequences it doesn't matter".
It was like he forgot actions had consequences. And he just acted on every crazy impulse.
I heard much later on by my neighbors that he ran into traffic. A cop responded and pepper sprayed him. He had this maniacal insane laugh after he would do something. He also tried punching the walls a lot. There's fist marks where he dented. He got pepper sprayed then he punched a cop. He then got slammed on the ground by another cop. He probably in the hospital right now.
He dosed at 815, went insane around 1130, tried to kill both of us around 1145. It's 345 now, Right after i literally thought it could not get more fucked then this. So me and my roommate had this odd ease that we just need to bask in this moment until the cops come back, because he could not get any more fucked than this. This is like one of the urban legends you hear about with some guy on pcp taking 40 bullets to put down naked.
Stay away from this drug. 2 tabs did that to him. DO not TAKE. FLUSH it if you have it. It's nothing but insanity. The guy before us got it from someone who gave away 7 tabs because he had a bad trip on 4 and was so disgusted he never even wanted to see it again, so he wouldn't sell it.
I'm still under the influence of this drug plus a fuckton of andrenaline. We're college kids, we don't need this shit. I didn't choose it but it does happen. He have a huge mess to clean up now.
Fuck this insanity

Tl;dr friend took 25i, went apeshit and got himself arrested

What the hell could have caused this?

EDIT: A couple people asked me for proof. I didn't take any pictures at the time, but here's a couple pics of the damage that hasn't been fixed yet

Your friend obviously has mental issues.

Some people just can't handle drugs /thread.
 
That is an interesting story to say the least.
I couldn't be happier that you an your friends are ok, but I have to ask is it the 25i that did this too him?
Usually when people react this way to psychedelics they have deep repressed turmoil and psychotic tendencies.
Next time, try not blazing, weed can make people think and do weird things on psychedelics.

25I is an ultra-potent full agonist at receptors associated with psychedelic effects, meaning when they bind they cause the maximum response for the receptor system. Most psychedelics, including most sold as research chemicals, are partial agonists. The NBOMes are dangerous because their high potency means ignorant people with insufficient equipment are tasked with producing standard doses, and their full agonist effects magnify the consequences of measurement errors. When you combine these factors with natural variance in psychological fortitude, freakouts are likely to ensue.
 
Ive had some of those creepy 'living in the moment thoughts' while im experiencing a hard trip. Usually i just try to focus on other thoughts, relax, and steer my mind in another direction. One thing i definately DO NOT do is smoke weed. Theres wierd false facts about how weed 'chills you out', but the fact is weed makes you trip way harder. Thats how its always been for me atleast. Weed always takes me to a whole new level of hallucination.

Sounds to me like hes inexperienced, jumped in the rabbit hole way to deep, and cant handle his shit.

By hey, Sekio, he was taking "Devil's Acid" after all. I mean, such a reaction is to be expected, right?
 
I've also seen some ridiculously powerful responses to 25i. That stuff can definitely be very dangerous.

Once I inadvertently gave some to a girl who then went completely delirious too. I had to physically restrain her and talk her down for hours.
 
Psychedelic drugs are interesting, and potentially useful, but they're not without their risks. These kinds of psychotic episodes are not uncommon. They're perhaps more uncommon than the drug warriors might want you to believe, but they definitely do happen. They can happen to anyone, on any trip. I've got maybe 50 or 60 trips under my belt, and I've only had one of these kinds of delirious, psychotic breakdowns. Just try to be more careful next time.

I'm not sure that that has anything to do with it. It's a full agonist, sure, but that doesn't really have anything to do with its potency. DOI is a full agonist too, and it's almost an order of magnitude less potent; LSD is only a weak partial agonist or maybe even an antagonist, and it's more potent.
 
^psood0nym never said the 2 were related, only that the NBOMes are ultra-potent (which has more to do with binding rates) and full agonists. I don't think we're even sure what full agonism at a serotonin receptor means yet, but most chemicals that are are really iffy.

That said, this may or may not have happened if he had took LSD/a "safer" chemical. On the one hand, it's been known that LSD can bring forth freak-outs. Yet on the other, I've seen the NBOMes put out some really really weird states in some people that's unlike anything I've seen. Being cautious is always a good idea, but you should be extra careful with these chemicals.
 
This kind of stuff happens on LSD, it happens on mushrooms, it happens on DOx, NBOMes, 2c-x, and all the others. Some people just lose their shit on psychedelics. It is part of the territory.

I think the only reason you hear about so many freakouts with NBOMes is the ease of accessibility. Lots of people who could never get LSD can now get "other" superpotent drugs for cheap now. If $1-per-hit LSD was still around I think you would hear of more acid freakouts.
 
Holy shit man...that was a crazy read. I've had a terrible experience with the NBOMe family as well, but nothing where anyone tried to kill me or got naked....
Do you happen to know dosages of the tabs? I generally see "tabs" of 25iNBOMe being dosed between 500ug and 1500ug, and if you two took the latter of those or something even closer to that, a response like this is surprisingly all too uncommon, albeit yours being the most extreme ive seen/read in some time. Not to mention that if the guy you got it from took 4 then that could potentially come out to appx. 6000ug which would certainly be an incredibly disgusting trip for just about anyone other than the most prepared specimens who have worked their way up to that dosage. If this was your roommates first time trying this drug (which I believe it was) then potentially taking 3000ug is a dose that is absolutely within range of breaking peoples sanity while under its influence. I have seen some crazy things happen with the NBOMes my self on several occasions even at doses as low as 1000ug and I no longer play with them because of it. I wish you and your roommates all the best of luck in cleaning up the damage this may do, and I'm sorry this ever happened....
I'm glad you're alright and alive and I give my condolences to your roommates for the horror I'm sure they also experienced. The NBOMes are probably the sketchiest mainstream/quasi-mainstream drugs I can think of that are out there right now. Good job making an account and a report of this experience, it was the right thing to do, and again, be safe and good luck.
 
How do you know for sure it was 25I and not 25C, or B or D. 25I automatically gets the blame it seems to me and at no point in your story do I see any proof. I would not have messed with anything reffered to as the devils acid on a tab by the by. Could be DOX, could be a -FLy of some sort, a mg or 2 is basically nothing, looks like a pinhead when in powder form so very easy to dissolve onto a tab.

If it was an ungodly 1 mg tab of 25C and he took 2 well then you may well have your answer as a quadrouple dose of 25C may be enough to send an ill prepared tripper over the edge.


Generally we tell people here when presented with something new.... possibly even free, it is best to

A send it out to get tested
B cut the 'tab' into 4 smaller hits
C cut the tab into 2 smaller hits
D- throw the shit away


I was presented with a free sample and I cut the tab in half, and was fairly surprised at the intensity of it. I think anytime currently a person has a rough time off a tab, 25I takes the hit..... Like "oh he had a bad time on LSD... must have been an NBOMe .... must have been 25I .


did the paper taste bitter and leave your mouth rather numb? did you hold it under your toung or between your cheeks for 20 minutes?
 
I've seen these types of reaction with various psychedelic drugs and people. It's simple to say "he must have had mental issues" but in reality these drugs are so strong you don't need any prior mental issues for something like this to happen. I have said it before and will say it again, psychedelics are not all fun and games like some people make it out to be.

You can have 100 trips below your belt, consider yourself a "hard head" but when the psychosis happens none of this will matter. You will be just as fucked as this guy.

Nah, psychosis is only present in a tiny minority of the population - that's why millions of people can take them without running down the street naked. This guy was obviously a fruitcake and an accident waiting to happen. It would probably have happened if he'd never taken drugs.

I agree with you but I have a problem with "drugs made me violent" stories. If I drink 10 beers and start a fight can I blame the beer, or am I the asshole? I am against the idea of a drug made you violent. Where do you draw the line? You were so messed up you raped someone? Killed them? People need to own their behaviour on drugs, and booze for that matter too. I still don't see Joe Peaceful going nuts either, it seems to be the people who are already violent. I feel quite safe taking psychedelic drugs with stable people. I am also 100 percent certain of my ability to not become violent on any substance. Within reason of course, you punch me and its on I am not Ghandi or anything. Attacking people because I think they are the devil or something though, that's never going to happen on any drug.
 
Okay. I've actually had a qualitatively similar reaction to 'just' plain old LSD, dosed way to high, at too young an age (16 years old) (I chose to try to break out of 'this moment' rather than live in it, but still I ended up yelling, banging on a window, and running down a street....no physical damage done though). This doesn't sound like anything specific to any compound in particular.

This just comes down to care to titrate dosage properly and preparation to deal with psychological crises by submission to 'the everything', not brute force applied against it.
