i need a lift,
a second to drift.
a place to fade,
my spade's for trade.

i need a pause,
a spot of gauze,
stop the blood,
this isnt a dud.

i need an answer
its eating me like cancer,
it will take me soon enough,
im not trying too bluff..
theres a message to this stuff

i need a word,
a third of a phrase,
one that pays off,
and stays off the end that tends to frustrate...
my hate..
can you relate?

i need a thought,
to quench feeling distraught,
my thirst is the worst.
sometimes makes me sad
that i need it so bad..
