I know we have a few Marvel Fan's around the place so I would strongly suggest
LOGAN - In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X somewhere on the Mexican border. However, Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are upended when a young mutant arrives, pursued by dark forces.
Kong Skull Island - A team of scientists explore an uncharted island in the Pacific, venturing into the domain of the mighty Kong, and must fight to escape a primal Eden.
It was nice seeing Kong again and there are some great references to the old movies but it's really cheesy and detracts from the movie. If you can just switch off and watch it as a stand alone monster movie then it's pretty good fun.
Strange one for me to be putting up
Don't kill it - An ancient demon terrorizes a tiny Mississippi town.
Splatter/gore comedy horror with Dolph Lundgren - really stupid, cheesy horror but worth catching. (Imagine a low budget knock off of 'Fallen')
For those living around Gretna Green / Carlisle there is a local, low budget 'zombie' movie called 'Zombies have fallen' budget was 500£ the 'stars' are all the producers family (his dad plays the main star). It starts off pretty interesting but turns into a farce.
It was like watching an art project by the local school.
Lastly (bearing in mind my love of cheesy awful horror)
The creature Below - ignore the ratings (3.5) UK low budget horror but give it a try if you don't mind the acting, effects, story etc :D
