Not sure exactly which section to post this at. Does not have to be anonymous, I do not mind if you have to use my screen name "Trippingballz" in order for me to find this later on.

During this past year or so, I had got myself into a problem, mainly with methamphetamines. My past drug use of course, included marijuana, ecstasy, nitrous oxide, cocaine, various prescription pills mainly viccodin and somas when I was younger..

Currently, I am still smoking weed, still smoking meth (not as much as before and a lot smarter about it now when I first started) , and when necessary, taking a benzo like Xanax or Ativan to come down from a meth high (I learned this from earlier panic attacks/ visits to the ER regarding meth this year). In all honesty, yes I want to quit street meth deep down, but it has been more of a challenge than I ever imagined. I luckily got off coke a few years ago when my main supplier was busted and I refused to ever meet up with him again. I successfully quit viccodins and somas just because I did not really like downers and they made me feel awful on comedown from extended use. I still do once and awhile take ecstasy, not nearly as much or frequently as when younger, I would guess maybe a average about 2-3 pills very 3 months or so, and even that has become much weaker and goes away quite faster than it used to.

Now, I have been seeing a psychologist for many years now (the one who can not prescribe meds). Recently this year, he and I, both believe I have Adult ADD. Reasons being: my sister who is autistic has ADHD and has been on Prozac and Ritalin all her life. My addictions to uppers, especially meth and ecstasy is another contributing factor, considering I rarely get super up or tweaked out, but more relaxed and stress free from uppers. I also had tried adderrall one time in college during finals, and was amazed at how easy it was for me to finally read again, able to write a term paper, baisically pass all my finals at all subjects (even ones that didn't interest me at all). Of course I flunked out next semester without the assistance of this wonder drug. My attention / focus, as I get older gets worst and worst. I find myself unable to read and comprehend almost anything and everything after one paragraph. After that first one, even if I am reading, I have a million other thoughts in my head, and nothing gets accomplished what so ever. I am also one of those people who procrastinates, underestimates projects or tasks, I become talented at multi tasking, but it gets to the point sometimes where if I am multitasking too many things at one time, I become over worked, and just start over-thinking everything to the point where I get nothing done. I also looked up many websites regarding symptoms of adult ADD, and I literally have 90-95% of what people that ADD have. It is because of this, I am really hoping to get a prescription to Adderall or rittalin or anything that would help with my attention. A great anaology my psychologist told me once, is if I am in a classroom looking at a lecture, and the person next to me would drop their pencil, what would you do. That is so easy, first once hearing the pencil drop, I will immediately look to where the noise would be, and of course would pick up the pencil and give back to the person who dropped it. From my understanding, people without ADD could hear the pencil drop but could just sit there looking forward at the board/lecture and not even let it borrow them..

Anyways, just wanted to give a brief history of why I and my psychologist think I have ADD and more reasons that will take too long to list.

So recently I saw a specialist who does and helps people with ADD. I told him that I still smoke marijuana daily, but I lied about my current methamphetamine abuse (because I am almost certain if I told him I would never be allowed any ADD/stimulant pharmeceuticals, which are really some of the only things I know will help me focus and concentrate in school, which I decided to go back to in about a month and a week. I also did not tell him that I take benzos (which I honestly don't abuse, and only take while having a panic attack on meth, too fast a heart rate, or when I stayed up for almost 3 days and need some honest sleep). Benzos I would take probably a max 3 times a week, one only 1-2 mgs most. Meth probably averaging out 4 days out of the week. Marijuana everyday 3-5 times a day.

So last week, I went and actually met with a psychiatrist, who seems to be in a agreement that I do have some form of ADD but also thinks I am semi-bi-poloar.

Because of this, he has prescribed me oxcarbazepine 150 mg tabs which I am suppose to take a 1/2 every 12 hours for the first 4 days, then up it to 2 tabs every 12 hours after that.

My question is what are the drug interractions between oxcarbazapine with regards to my marijuana and meth/Adderall use? Are there interractions between these? If so what are they? Do I really need to quit all my drugs I usually do when starting and using this new one? From what my psychologist said, is that no, I can still keep doing what I am doing (which he thinks is only marijuana). So therefore are there any interatcions with Trileptal and meth / Adderall? And is there any interactions with trileptal and benzodiazepines?

Any info and insight would be greatly appreciated. I already know out of any substance, street methamphetamine is the most addictive and dangerous thing I have messed with. Yes I want to get off of it deep down, but am still so damn hooked to the point where im still averaging out 3-4 days a week. This is what makes me most worried and I want and need to know if this is a big no-no mixing these or of it is still safe.

My goal is to get off methamphetamine completely, and have a Adderall script one day. I do not snort, smoke or any other crazy routes of administration when I do Adderall, I literally will eat one pill every 10-12 hours max two times a day, and when I do, I feel relaxed, not nearly as sweaty/paranoid/nervous as crstal, and I honestly believe it helps my focus and relaxaction immensely to the point where I can read, write and comprehend everything much much better. I am only recently starting to take the trilepetal , but I guess m7y6 pysch said I need to get in a better move first before he prescribes me any sort of uppers if any..

I also smoke cigarettes as well. Was also wondering if any side effects occur from tobacco as well. Please let me know all and every info that is out there so I can make the correct decision..
