So I brought my test kit to a festival

Not only the whole "I feel something, I MUST BE ROLLING" but A big problem seems to ignorance and naivety . I'm not sure if naivety is the right word but every generation of young kids think they are the most bad ass and nothing before them could have been as cool... I was like this when I was a tad younger, unfortunately. Some young people think "Molly" is a new pure form of MDMA, some even think it's natural. Purity doesn't increase over a long time of illegalization, cocaine says "hello".

If someone were to suggest "your getting bunk stuff and this is the worst period of time for MDMA purity" they would shrug it off/ deny it. "Oh no, I've got the hook up's mang, I get dem fire molliez yo!"
 
That's why, as enlightened users, we should be bringing our test kits to festivals. The more we educate the better off the entire scene will be.

My friends went from let's pop every molly we find to if they don't personally see it tested they aren't touching it.

Am I going to solve the problem by myself? No, but if I inspire one person to think and test their shot before popping 200mg of pmma, then it is worth it.
 
Here, in europe it's really common to invite non-profit organisations to psychedelic festivals from other countries too. People taking shifts to test other's stuff, keeping them hydrated, giving away tiny salty pretzels, fruit-sugar, etc. I don't see this kind of dedication in the EDM scene.
 
^ That's not entirely true. Have you ever heard of Dancesafe? They're a Seattle based company that specialized in rave Harm Reduction. Unfortunately Paradiso decided to "crack down" instead of educate, which led to a lot of people being arrested and a LOT of fake shit going around.
 
Wait dance safe is based out of seattle? didn't know that. I think pasquale rotella did a reddit AMA and someone asked him why there wasn't a dance safe booth. His reply was that he wanted it there but due to certain laws they can't have them there. Trust me, those promoters would much rather have people there knowing what they are taking but due to certain laws they simply can't.

P.S. a test kit will get you a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charge.

Paradiso was awesome this year, sad I missed deorro though, but heard so much great hardstyle over the past few weeks I don't really care.

Oh also, mdma & lsd compliment each other like milk & cookies.

Everything wrong with society/government's take on recreational drugs these days. Fucking joke.
 
What? Charge for having a testkit? I can imagine the gvrnmnt putting fake dealers out there. Yeah, some people might die, but it's "for the greater good".
 
Wow. I just checked WA law. RCW 69.50.102(a)(4) specifically lists test kits as drug parahenilia.

I have not been practicing for very long but I have never heard of anyone being charged for possession of a test kit.

Either way, it is not a good policy.

And while we are at it: anyone had testkits while flying to USA? any problems?

I wouldn't take the chance of trying to take a bottle of corrosive liquid used to test drugs into the US by plane, not with their border security. At the very least they will confiscate it when they find it, "hazardous material" brought on a plane and all that. And if they research what the stuff really is you could be undergoing a very rigorous 'security check' to see if you have hidden anything else on you. They will see a drug testing kit as a red flag

If you want reagent on your trip there I think the best bet would be to mail it to your destination address. And even that could get you into trouble if the state you are going to has a law against testkits. Though this is unlikely it is still possible..

I don't have much knowledge about local laws in the US so I will leave the question about Texas for an American to answer

I wish it were so in all of Europe, I thought people here in Europe did know, but I've discovered to my horror that they all think think it isn't sold without being tested (I've found this in 3 different countries over the past year)... myself and a few mates spread the word and try and educate but we're only scratching the surface... I wish it wasnt so, but we shouldn't kid ourselves either the average young roller in Europe is relying on someone else having tested it "along the way", highlighted by almost a year after the first known deaths from a particular batch of dodgy pills, they're still being bought and sold at festivals, despite nationwide media coverage and door to door leaflet drops in the capital..

I looked it up
§ 481.125. OFFENSE: POSSESSION OR DELIVERY OF DRUG
PARAPHERNALIA. (a) A person commits an offense if the person
knowingly or intentionally uses or possesses with intent to use
drug paraphernalia to plant, propagate, cultivate, grow, . . . , TEST.

And it's a misdemeanor
 
Man, I wanted to go to Paradiso, I heard it was fun! The Gorge is such an amazing place to take drugs at..


Regarding the legal discussion, getting in serious trouble for drug possession in Seattle is about as likely as getting a speeding ticket in traffic. Sure, you technically could, but you'd have to be pretty damn obvious/dumb/reckless about it.
