About the NMI Ambassador Program
The New Member Introductions Ambassador Program was created to facilitate a soft transition into the Bluelight community on behalf of new users. Our site is large; it is comprised of many different forums, communities, voices, and posting guidelines. It can be a lot to process for a Greenlighter who is new to the scene and wishes to become more familiar with our community. Some people intuitively navigate this process on their own; others, however, may be more comfortable with hands-on guidance from our existing user base.
Enter the Ambassador Program.
Ambassadors exists to greet incoming newbies so that they have a comfortable, welcoming, supportive and practical point of entry to the world of Bluelight. They are primarily stationed in NMI. Here, they will ensure that no new poster is ever overlooked. Additionally, they are expected to contribute to all areas of Bluelight with respect to its day-to-day operations.
Ambassadors are held to a higher standard than regular Bluelighters. As such, they project both integrity and cooperation with the Bluelight User Agreement (BLUA), as well as with individual forum guidelines wherever they go. In doing so, they serve as free-floating helpers, providing advice and guidance all across the boards. What a great mission!
NMI Adoption Program
This is Bluelight's premiere feature for new members. If a Greenlighter opts for it by signing up for the program, they will be assigned their own personal Ambassador attaché who will be their buddy during their introductory period to Bluelight. The Ambassador will check in on them regularly, see how they are getting along with the community, provide feedback and suggestions, and be their closest ally on the forum. It's a great way for a new member to have an instant in by making their first BL friend right away.
