My main gripe with ketamine is the eventual nor-ketamine build-up.
Like many folk here, I have developed a tolerance to the ket, and I often go thru more than a gram (maybe two) per day if I'm using.
When starting a ketamine binge, the first few doses are great (sharp, lucid, a pleasant glutamate rush) but once they wear off, they make place for a confused messy feeling of emptiness and a brain that's misfiring constantly. Which accumulates with redoses.
The confusion (the part where I guess that nor-ketamine starts to rear its head and take over the scene) starts 2 or 3 hours after the previous dose, lasts a few hours, and then fades into the fantastic afterglow (always slightly stimulating, feeling refreshed and at ease, as if my NMDA-system donned some fresh clothes and stepped outside into the sunshine)
Sounds similar?
I'm using a nose-spray bottle filled with a ket/h2o solution (1 gram per 20ml), and I'm thinking that maybe I should ditch the nose-spray because it might lead to more drip, that goes into my stomach, and that this would lead to relatively more nor-ketamine effects.
