I had a fairly lifechangingly lovely aMT sesh with Mr DS_ on Monday, today has been exceedingly shit for several reasons but still feeling pretty positive. Amazing. Was uberwin at the time too :) but agree that it is a real chameleon drug and the phrase YMMV seems to have been invented for it..

I have always found it to be an smooth old reliable. I like it for extended drinking sessions the amphetamine side keeps me going while the psychedelic part keeps me from getting bored. Ideal for weddings. I went to the beach yesterday morning on 20mg and to the races at the prettiest racecourse you ever did see in the evening and I had a pretty pleasant time of it. But YMMV.
 
I too find it perfect for extended drinking sessions, especially if you want to feel odd but not appear too odd, if you know what I mean.

It's one of the few psychedelics I've managed to visit a supermaket on and remain composed throughout.
 
Ideal for weddings ey :D will remember that one. I can get out and about on it no problem too.

If you are going drinking this one synergises with Guinness in a horrible way, the combo makes me feel that a Diplodocus is trying to escape from my large intestine via my sphincter. Unless you want to spend a wedding reading reading the graffiti on the back of a toilet cubicle door wash it down with lager and imodium.

Hey,

had some amt arrive today. It is a light orange powder with quite an aroma. I was just wondering if this sounds right, as I was under the impression it was a white powder...

I would have posted this in the EADD AMT thread, but it seems to have been closed...
 
yes it sounds right. I've seen it orange and grey in different batches.

It should definitely stink!

EDIT: Possibly the orange is freebase, I'm not sure. The HCl I had was grey. But even some of that was kind of yellow.

Cheers mate. What are your opinions on this stuff, are you a fan? Whats your ideal dosage and roa?
 
I like aMT a lot but it's fairly undpredictable. I've only ever taken HCl, plugged. Dosage is really tricky because it's so subjective and unpredictable. But personally, if I had a new batch, I would probably start with around 30mg.

It can seem a wee bit full on at first if you're not prepared, but it's really quite gentle and it can be underwhelming if you're expecting/hoping for a mind-bending experience. Just make sure you have plenty time on your hands and things to occupy yourself with.

I haven't plugged freebase but I think you need to acidify the solution with some vinegar.

Also, that 30mg dose - it really depends what you want to get out of it, hopefully you've read the old aMT thread and seen that the dosing range is quite wide.

EDIT 2 Writing about it is making me want some but I can't because I'm on an SSRI :(

Yes I composed a moderately sized post with a focus on drug harm-reduction. But apology accepted.

Basically suggesting a 30mg plugged starting dose but noting that dosing is very subjective and a bit unpredictable with aMT and that to plug freebase would require acidification of the solution. And hoping Shamone has read this thread. In its previous incarnation.

Then saying how much I would love to have some but can't.

I find amt batch dependent, I have taken 20Mg of one batch to the same effect of 50Mg of another so I advise feeling
Your way in to it.
 
On the freebase/HCl thang, simplest way to test would probably be to put a small quantity of what you have on tinfoil and heat gently - if it melts (and runs if you tilt the foil) it'll be freebase, if it burns/chars without liquifying it'll be HCl (or possibly a different salt as I seem to recall more than one form being available in the past which also may account for some of the variabilities but that was quite a while back now). I'd suspect it's pretty unlikely to be freebase unless advertised as such but if it so happens that it is then you should find it melts and runs very easily with gentle heat whilst HCl (or whatever) needs quite a bit of heat to burn and doesn't melt at all reallly.
