Anyone else like tekno? I just started listening to it, and I love it. It sounds like it's a combination of tons of different genres. Everything from hardcore to darkpsy to techno. I hear influences from all those in it. It seems to take the good parts from other genres and combine them into something amazing. And it has tons of energy, and there seems to be a lot of creativity/originality in the genre. It's great.

But I have a problem... it's mostly played in Europe, so most of the websites devoted to it are in foreign languages. I only know english. :(

So does anyone have some recommendations about good tekno producers/labels? I mostly like the harder, trippier sounding stuff. Like those ones above.
 
Been lurking on these forums for way too long and this post made me register, hehe. I'm from Belgium and there are loads of free parties with acid, core, tekno, tribe, etc... Over here, we're spoiled with massive soundsystems.

Thanks for the tracks rakketakke. The ones by Les Enfants Sages, Turbotek and Kombat Ki are especially good.

It's a shame this music isn't more well-known in the english speaking world. I bet many here would love it if they heard it.
 
Yeah I liked the tracks you guys put up :) Not something I could listen to very often as it's ridiculously hard n evil but like Gabba it's one of my guilty pleasures ;)

Most people I know or talk to about Tekno (compared to Techno) give me funny looks when I say I like it. I guess it's not rated much in the UK or I just know the wrong people lol. Maybe it's an acquired taste.

sunny weather and listening to these tracks makes me want to go to a teknival again ;)
