Fuck You, thats why!
I've been scripted zopiclone 7.5mg tabs and they're having no effect on me what-so-ever.Im wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what their doc gave them? like whats the next step for someone that zopiclone doesnt work for? benzos?

I'm going to move this over to BDD.

My personal oppinion is that zolpidem is better, but neither work too well compared to alprazolam or triazolam, though those carry a higher addiction potential.

You can go for diazepam or alprazolam, but they aren't real hypnotics (especially alprazolam) and, although I believe they will work initially, I don't think they have staying power like a true hypnotic. Diazepam may be a better choice than alprazolam, however.
There's also temazepam, triazolam or nitrazepam (if you are outside the US for this one) are true hypnotics and will probably work better for you for a knock out blow.

If you don't want to go the benzo route there is trazodone and it works very well. You may also want to keep quetiapine (Seroquel) in mind also.

Mirtazapine perhaps? I've been on this for 8 months or so and overall it works very well however next day grogginess is a bitch for the first week and weight gain is a side effect for many.

Prior to being put on this I was using zolpidem, by itself I didn't find it all that great. It worked to put me to sleep but wouldn't keep me asleep, zolpidem+diphenhydramine(low dose) worked great though.

I wouldn't make the jump to benzos just yet (or ever really). Aside from some other the other drugs already mentioned, I have personally found Clonidine to be very helpful for sleep, and I have tried a lot of different medications. It's being prescribed for insomnia and sleeping disorders more than it used to be, possible due to doctors finally tightening up their benzo prescribing.
