I am prescribed to ambien and when i take it usually before bed it kind of gives a weird loopy feeling that ALMOST feels like a strong benzo but I really don't understand what kind of recreational use people actually get out of zolpidem

people react differently to the z drugs - for some the z drugs knock them out cold; for others there's little to no effects, for some they get halucinations, loopy feelings, delirieus etc...

imo there's little to no recreational use for them but to each their own.

By itself it takes a somewhat high dose but take one and smoke some weed and you'll get a great high with some vision distortion. For me my doors kind of looks like they are fuzzy and moving with a wave along along with somewhat of a hologram effect.

Snort 30mg of zolpidem, it will burn but you will love the buzz. I promise. The burn brings on a rush of pain that subsides in seconds numbing your nose and the back of your throat which you will then start to enter the dream world of ambiens blissfull high

Just start low and smoke some weed with them. If you take to much you'll probably just forget everything you were doing while under the effect of ambien.

^^ i heard ambien is one of the WORST tasting meds along side carisoprodol

I don't think it tastes that bad at all compared to many drugs I've snorted ?, but your are snorting all those binders and the ones I always get have a coating which you need to separate when you crush them.

I found tolerance grew more rapidly than any benzo, so if you need them for sleep and they are working I would advice against recreational use as its just not worth it, the effect of a high snorted dose is interesting but enjoy it whilst it lasts as the tolerance will soon kick in and you'll be left with a bunch of useless pills, or doing silly doses.

I find Z drugs useless but some people clearly don't, last time I got offered scripted them on a doctors insistence when switching to a new AD I con;t remember whether I threw them away or juts took them as prescribed, either way for something with possible recreational value this is not normal behavior for me;)

personally i used to snort 20mg of zolpidem, and i'd hallucinate like crazy...

i think i wrote a trip report of what was actually going on at the time- it was as if i were in a different world (possibly psychotic) but it was fucking awesome. if i mixed it with MDMA i'd get some fucking loopy hallucinations (bugs crawling everywhere, seeing eyes out my window, talking to my curtains) and i wouldn't be scared of them because the MDMA would calm me down. however if i took with promethazine or sometimes on its own i would feel as if i were going crazy and would be scared shitless all night long... i remember once seeing a centipede (hallucinated) crawling down my lamp along with spiders all over my floor (i'm petrified of them) it was enough to make me take about 100mg of oxy along with 3mg of xanax to try and calm myself down which was stupidly dangerous..

surprisingly i never built a real tolerance to it, it was only after about a month or two abusing it that i realised my tolerance had risen... if you get the stilnoct branded ones there is an outer shell which is near impossible to break up properly and i'd always wake up with shit in my nose, sometimes really badly... thats what made me stop abusing it personally and the fact that it was probably destroying my brain

it was fucking awesome, but so damn scary at the same time... smoke weed seemed to make me so damn paranoid so i always avoid it in combination with, and sometimes even 20mg was enough to make me completely black out and not remember what i had done all night, so take care with it and overall the recreational effects aren't really worth it in my opinion... its really a hit and miss, if i took it by mouth i wouldn't get the effects as strongly... sometimes it was AWESOME sometimes it wasn't, just have to be careful and in the right state of mind i guess

i never really understood how anyone could take more than about 30mg without blacking out. i once tried 20mg blacked out and woke up to realise that i had taken all of my pills (150mg) and was in a blurry haze for the rest of the next day. according to the people i was with i started talking to them about how i had found a cure for cancer and was a rocket scientist, and my eyes kept frantically moving everywhere as if i was looking at someone/thing, and my personality would rapidly change as if i had about 6 different people inside me, i'd be super sociable but then suddenly stop talking to everyone... but i don't remember ANY of that, they attempted to try to make me go to sleep but i apparently was in my bed talking to something/someone all night.... that was kinda scary

this was my face on it = 8(

I honestly love the burn and taste. Anyway start out with 30 mg. Ambien can't kill you when you take it by its self
But if you have alocohol or dope in your system start out lower and work your way up

This is a really bad idea. Do NOT start out ANY new drug at a high dose, and definitely don't do so while under the influence of other drugs.

ambien CAN kill you by itself. in fact i know a girl who took about 2 grams of tablets and died in her sleep from taking it, idk if its the first ever recorded case but i highly doubt it. if you take 30mg and black out and have a large supply of them available it increases the risk of you unawarely taking them along with alcohol or other drugs that you have around the house.

like pjk said don't experiment with a high dose of anything and especially ambien. it can really fuck your head up.

I never found zolpidem (Ambien) recreational. I actually hate the feeling while on it. I get this weird feeling like everything around me, even inanimate objects, are alive. I hallucinate stupid things, like for example one time looking very closely at my fingertips I could see little "hairs" which looked more like spider legs or something (I am totally aware that I am hallucinating too). I don't even feel sedated, in fact, I feel somewhat more active (not stimulated, but just active). I've never blacked out or anything on zolpidem and I've taken doses up to 50-60 mg. I've had some shitty experiences with zolpidem, to say the least. Overall it's just an uncomfortable feeling that I do not enjoy at all.

Start off with 10-15 mg, DO NOT start off with 30 mg. But tolerance builds up quite rapidly. 8(

lmao 50-60mg i wouldn't see anything anymore, fuck.

i dunno i quite like the hallucinations cause they are weird as hell, but not unless I'm under the influence of something to boost my mood or i will most likely curl into a ball and want to die..

tolerance builds so rapidly when you snort it, but i think more to the hallucinations rather than sedation in my opinion..

^ Sedation? I don't even find zolpidem sedating. It's more of a hallucinogenic than a sedative, IMO. I mean it isn't like a true hypnotic like triazolam or temazepam. If anything it has very mild sedative properties. The drug has no endearing qualities and I honestly don't know how anyone can like that drug. But to each his own, I guess. That's just my personal opinion on zolpidem.

really? i find i get knocked out at a lower dose(10mg) relatively quickly, about 15minutes id say too. of course its not flunitrazepam (rohyp). i never found temazepam hypnotic either, it just provided me with wave after wave of euphoria, never tried triazolam but i can safely say that if i really wanted to just sleep i'd take the z-drugs.

if i take more than 20mg or 20mg actually i find it quite stimulating too if i haven't used it for a while, but once my tolerance builds i get so sleepy and tired.. the best sleep aid is rohypnol full stop in my experience, i can fight the sleep urge and be super euphoric or just get knocked out for ages.

everyone reacts differently, i guess you could feel rohypnol did nothing to you

Flunitrazepam is quite sedating, but I find its parent drug - nitrazepam - to be a bit more sedating. Triazolam is more sedating than both. I think flunitrazepam is a really nice benzo but it is highly overrated. A study comparing how strong the sedative effects of flunitrazepam, temazepam and lormetazepam for the first 2 hours after ingestion of the drugs found that temazepam produced the most sedation and impairment, flunitrazepam second, and lormetazepam was last of the three. However, beyond the two hour mark temazepam began to gradually lose its sedative-hypnotic power while flunitrazepam continued to be produce impairment and sedation (due to its active metabolites).

Here's that study.

^Trust kokaino here :)

I'm going to close this thread, zolpidem is indeed a strange drug that does very different things to very different people. If you find it recreational, good. I certainly don't. I, like others who have posted here, find the sedating benzos (like temazepam) to be much more effective.

Anyway, we don't allow discussion as to if a drug is flat out "recreational" or not.

Closing now, PM me with any questions.
