sup all just wondering what the differences are i have already been on prozac and i dont have a doctor right now and my friend has a bottle of zoloft she can give me so im just wondering what the differences are between the two, thanks.

Your post is a big joke. I am gonna take the fucking troll-bait and asnswer.
If you want a drug to counter depression, don't take some shit because your friend has it. Go see and doctor and get a real diagnosis. Prozac and Zoloft are similar but have distinct differences.
One bottle isn't gonna do shit for ya, either.
Also, asking on a drugs board about advice for anti-depressents is pathetic.

dude shut the fuckup you fucking idiot, you dont know me or my situation so why dont you back the fuck off. i dont have to explain my self to you if you dont have something useful to say then fucking shove it up your ass.

by the way one bottle does do shit and anti-depressants are drugs too.So next time get a fucking clue before you make yourself look like a moron, GREEN LIGHTER.

Even though our little friend is a *green lighter*, and he did go about it the wrong way, he's got a valid point....
See a doctor before you just start taking *any* percription drug, as they know better than you what is going to be better for you, what works for me, may or may not work for you...
Be safe, Be Smart.
Pintsize.

I used to be on anti-depressants. I was on both prozac and zoloft. However, I was switched to zoloft after about 60 days so I cannot say too much about it.
However, spending two and a half years on zoloft, I can say that it is an evil drug. It was addicting for me, meaning that when I would try to get off it, I would start to feel really disconnected. I was only able to quit using it during a bout of mono.
Also...the sexual side effects were awful. I couldn't cum if I had taken a pill that morning. So...if I knew I would be having sex or whatever, I would purposely not take my pill.
It makes me sick to see that zoloft is still being advertised on TV when there are much better, less-addictive drugs available. However...each person reacts differently. Definitely ask your doctor...do not be taking drugs from a friend as he/she may have a completely different type of depression than you and different drugs are made to treat specific types of depression.
Hope this helps...good luck
~Ryan
