I havent discussed this with the other mods yet because I know I dont need to.

Warnings will be applied with out hesitation to ANYONE making disrespectful, unhelpful, racist, violent, derogatory, useless posts.

TDS regulars, we need your help, dont be afraid to report posts or PM us mods with related complaints.

Mods from other forums, you arent stepping our toes, do what you feel is needed.

Mods please edit and add anything you feel necessary to this.

Can I just add that in addition to deliberately antagonistic or rude posts, there seems to be an increase in seemingly throwaway comments that might not intend to cause upset, but can actually be quite insensitive to the person asking for help.

There's nothing wrong with posting in a lighthearted way or joking around, but please think before you post. Most people who come to this forum have experienced some form of hardship and I'm sure can relate, at least on some level, to what other posters are going through. If you can't, and you can't offer anything constructive, just don't post.

And remember: even if something seems bizarre or ridiculous to you, it's very real to the person experiencing it. If you can't understand something, at least try to show compassion.

I second this. At least in TDS, where there are extremely serious issues, there should be absolutely no tolerance for any kind of flaming or incendiary remarks. Frequenting the OD forum myself, I can see how it comes with the territory over there.

However in here, it is completely inappropriate.

As said so eloquently by our Mod team, TDS is no place for trolling or flaming.

We aim to provide a place where we can connect through shared experiences and offer support to one another :).

There are so many posters who provide excellent contributions to our forum, and consequently help others through difficult times. Keep up the good work!

And as Panic said, don't be afraid to report or PM Mods about posts that are not in keeping with the supportive environment we strive to uphold here in TDS.

Allow me to join with my agreement. The forum guidelines are well understood by those who post here often and clearly visible at the top of the page.

Please use REPORT to report any violations, and they'll be dealt with as soon as we can.
