The first time i got my hands on pills was when i was 13 and i got ahold of some xanax. Im sure i was one of only maybe 10 kids in my school to try xanax.

well i think studies have shown that prescription drug abuse did go up but of course it was always there. i think it went up in part due to the availability of hydrocodone over the internet in the early to mid 2000s.

Im starting to think the same.

I think the psychotropic nature of pot is very important to a fully developed mind

It gives me chills all these RX pills. Pure pleasure addictions will get you no where.
 
I'm a loner too as one poster kind of said it, it sucks when you dont know anyone= no drugs except having to be on crappy mmt until I get lucky one day and find a source.

On topic, yea digging into parents medicine cabinet sure brings back memories for me at least. Once I remember having a headache(which I got alot of when I was a teenager), I went into the med cabinet and this little brown envelope which someone had written tylenol #3 codiene, I thought I'm taking these fuckers I wonder if they might do something. I took em both and within 20 mins or so all of a sudden I got my very first opiate glow at 16 years old, I thought damn I wish I had a ton of these because I suddenly was digging into my hobby like I loved it from day one, headache gone and I felt this warm happy glow and just loved doing what ever I was doing that night. I slept great too.

Thank god I was able to hop on the rop online pharm gravy train at the best time and got off before they all were shut down(damn ignorant people od'ing or doing stupid stuff with em).

Hydro 10/500 120 of em I will never forget my 1st shipment, I was in heaven and it was the best day of my life. I will never forget and would do it all over again if I could reset my tolerance. I'm a junkie for life. I also love benzo's too. Great mix, but at least I knew what the heck I was doing from day one and read all about what ever I took before indulging.

stupid journalists seem to have slept through every sociology and psychology course theyve taken (or not taken?). why do they never take into account correlation =/= causation?

I can get ice way easier than I can get xanax! I guess its just the town I live in!! its all different!

Yep, right on I knew many people in high school, my freind both his parents got 30mg of xanax a month(60mg in total) and his dad got 90 OC80's a month, he was taking them and selling them for 20 dollars, some kids would take two and almost OD not knowing fully what it was. This girl I knew got Rx'ed 60mg of IR addy a day with 2mg k-pins. Like it was no big deal. All kind of people had ritialin adderall, k-pins college it's even easier to get.

there was a documentary on HBO called "Methadonia" and in the beginning one methadone addict was explaining that many people on 'done "go out and get some BENZODIAZEPAMS" to feel closer to how they did on H.

Its interesting that someone made the same mistake.

But as for the article, c'mon, are you mainstream people that naive? or just stupid? RX drugs have been used commonly for a LONG time now. When I say commonly, I remember 5 years ago, walking into a private school cafeteria, the school I attended at the time, and after I would sit down to eat lunch, everyone around me would advertise some pill or other. There was always pot too, but mostly RX. I mean literally, any day you came in, you could find vicodin, percocet, valium, xanax (that was the most common), adderall, dexedrine, and the only OCCASSIONAL ones were morphine sulfate and fentanyl. Hell, one time some kid was selling OTC dxm pills, 8 for $20, with a CVS down the block... LOL.

Also, here and there someone would bring in a few rolls. but the drugs listed above were available ANY DAY that school was open. And this was maybe 6 years ago. It was shortly after 9/11, thats how i remember it. Why do I see these copycat articles ALL the time... there's always a drug/group of drugs being attacked by media constantly, whatever is popular with teens at the time.

first it was acid back in the 70s (not that I was around), then it was cocaine and crack, then MDMA in the 90s, then meth, and more recently it seems the main target has been marijuana (those retarded "above the influence" commercials that seem to blend pot and peer pressure). Now, RX drugs are the new "niggers" (i dont mean to offend anyone, its only an analogy)
 
^ it always seems like this is the first they hear of kids abusing prescription drugs. Why WOULDNT kids use prescription drugs, and why are they being lumped together? They are just DRUGS, nothing more. If I wanna get spun, and I find some amphetamine, whether its off the street or from a bottle of dexedrine, i will use it.
 
Everyone goes through the stage of lets go to grandmaws house shes got the good stuff and damn they always have bomb shit. I can go to the doctor tomorrow say i have anxiety can't sleep at night and want to hurt people and he will give me some sort of benzo. now u don't have to go to either, just come to the internet. Its called a "grey zone"(look it up) but people can order drugs in which u need a for prescription in america from other countries which you don't need a prescription. Complicated but bascially if the DEA or whoever doesnt confiscate em u can keep them but if they do find them they leave you a note saying orderin from foreign countries is danergous then after 2 or 3 confiscations you will probably go to jail for UPOCS and/or traffing controlled substance whatever they can get you for. Yea not a good idea but they make so many damn pills now how can u not run across someone with a script to something
just to add to the ignorance doctors think every kid that can't sit a chair for 7 hours a day without paying attention to boring ass information is a.d.d, more than half sell their scripts to others in school and those who are younger and don't know better are cracked out all day, granted they might do good in school now they have no personality
 
My HS had 440 or so people, and I can't recall one person that had a script for ADD/HD. We didn't have kids poppin oxys or takin seroquel an shit lol. That was only 10 years ago.

We had the smokers corner, kids smokin pot in the trees, people blowin lines in the third floor girls bathroom, heating up mushroom spaghetti at lunch, and occasionally dropping doses in science class. Of course that may be atypical, I went to catholic high school, and we were generally regarded to be the bad kids.

Somehow I feel the current generation is impoverished in their educational experience >.< No wonder the US is ranked 24th ww in math for high school students.
 
I was a grad of 1999 and back then you could get a 5 strip of acid for cheap(I know no prices) and weed,I never looked for anything else while in school. But one day when I was out of weed my Old Man sold me 2 Lortabs and I remember nodding so hard that I thought I heard birds chirping. from then on (in the year 2000) I slowly replaced weed with pills then by 2002 it was H and Diluadid and morphine,E,coke,Ritalin,and oxys. Kinda odd when your Dad starts ya on the way to the bad lands. But yeah,kids now(just like then) are dumb shits. I know 18-20 year olds who will snort a fucking 10mg tab! They`re just that ignorant. I mean why blow all that filler?
