Youth and Beauty - how about an exchange of knowledge - mine for yours? :)

Whenever I started exercising I noticed that my skin got softer and smoother. I rarely put makeup and I only do when I go out on special ocassions like parties etc although I go for facials every month just to maintain a healthy skin. I've always admired my exotice beauty and though I'm not perfect I've learned to love my natural beauty throughout the years.

i've been trying to get my girlfriend to forgo make-up and dyeing her hair to no avail, as i find make up superfluous since she's beautiful to me no matter what and also believe that on just about everybody their natural hair color looks best. i don't put a lot of effort into my appearance, aside from the obviously necessary - regular showers, shaving, deodorant - i simply can't be bothered. i haven't even had a haircut in ten years. i have an inordinately large number of white hairs for my age - i'm 27 - but i wouldn't dye my hair in a million years. the only concession i make to my almost non-existant vanity are contact lenses, but that is also for practical reasons as i used to have a huge alcohol problem and would routinely break/lose my glasses, also my vision is better with contacts.

I read a very interesting article a couple of months ago that analyzed the lifestyles of people who lived to 100 or older. Scientists can't narrow in on any dietary or lifestyle variable, except for one: people who live longer and retain more youth tend to be people who are surrounded by younger people all the time. Their "spirit" is youthful and so their body matches that.

the mind and body are so interconnected that I don't find that too surprising

but a source would be cool %)

I tried finding it but I can't. It's not something I bookmarked. I comb through a lot of material on the web weekly.

Sorry about that. If it comes up again I'll post it here. :)
