"Be not afraid that your life will come to an end. Instead be afraid that it will never begin."

I forgot whos quote that is....

It was Grace Hansen who said that ;)

We are what we repeatedly do; excellence, then, is not an act but a habit

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

I really like all of that, it's very true and to the point.

I like this saying which I just read (no author though):

"Those who criticize our generation forget who raised it."

And this one too:

"I don’t know what the key to success is, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone."

The Blind seem weak, until fought in the dark

The obstacle is the path

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

Women are like crock pots: They take for fucking ever.

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.
-Albert Einstein

Everybody has good quotes, I personally admire "Fallow your Dreams" quotes. I'm sure sometime in everyone's life they thought they couldn't do something.

"Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly".
Lanston Hughes

Some of my favorite Einstein Quotes

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are even incapable of forming such opinions.

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Imagination is more important than knowledge.

Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen.

The hardest thing in the world to understand is the income tax.

If A is success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."

"If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music. ... I get most joy in life out of music."

"The faster you go, the shorter you are."

"Nationalism is an infantile sickness. It is the measles of the human race."

"The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once."

"All our lauded technological progress -- our very civilization - is like the axe in the hand of the pathological criminal."

Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

That deep emotional conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is revealed in the incomprehensible universe, forms my idea of God.

Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.

The attempt to combine wisdom and power has only rarely been successful and then only for a short while.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.

The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives.

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.

You ask me if I keep a notebook to record my great ideas. I've only ever had one.

"One should guard against inculcating a young man {or woman} with the idea that success is the aim of life, for a successful man normally receives from his peers an incomparibly greater portion than the services he has been able to render them. The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving. The most important motive for study at school, at the university, and in life is the pleasure of working and thereby obtaining results which will serve the community. The most important task for our educators is to awaken and encourage these psychological forces in a young man {or woman}. Such a basis alone can lead to the joy of possessing one of the most precious assets in the world - knowledge or artistic skill."

The tragedy of life is what dies inside a man while he lives.

M.A.: "I'm sooo pretty"

Ring man: (trying to interview him in a post-fight, mayhem situation): "hold it, you're not that pretty"

M.A.: "I'm a badddd mannn!!!"

" You better take care of me Lord, if you don't you're gonna have me on your hands."

“We are all wired into a survival trip now. No more of the speed that fueled that 60's. That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary's trip. He crashed around America selling "consciousness expansion" without ever giving a thought to the grim meat-hook realities that were lying in wait for all the people who took him seriously... All those pathetically eager acid freaks who thought they could buy Peace and Understanding for three bucks a hit. But their loss and failure is ours too. What Leary took down with him was the central illusion of a whole life-style that he helped create... a generation of permanent cripples, failed seekers, who never understood the essential old-mystic fallacy of the Acid Culture: the desperate assumption that somebody... or at least some force - is tending the light at the end of the tunnel.” Hunter Stockton Thompson--

"About morals, I know only that what is moral is what you feel good after and what is immoral is what you feel bad after."
Ernest Hemingway

"Drugs are the same for you as candy is for a little kid. As soon as they see it, can't take your eyes off it. Will do whatever it takes to acquire it. Once you have it you consume in the matter of seconds. And when its gone and leaves behind that ooohh so sweet taste/feeling that all you can think about is when the next time you're going to get it. Your next fix." Me- said to a dear friend who was struggling with a monstrous meth and benzo addiction. We were arguing about the addiction and the toll it was taking on her and her friends/family.

The challenge of the Invisible!

A doctor whose professed views on life were on a strictly material plane (as they usually are), 8) has said "I have cut many a body open and I have never found a Soul!" :\ To which it has been answered, "Undoubtedly true, but while you were there, did you ever find a thought? =D
