If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.
-Bruce Lee

A man who doesn't trust himself can never truly trust anyone else.
-Cardinal de Retz, Memoires

Mistrust the man who finds everything good, the man who finds everything evil and still more the man who is indifferent to everything.
-Johann K. Lavater

^I like that one a lot, and yes I know that they are both on the same topic and kind of go different directions, but still both are good.

From futurama:

Fry: Im having one of those things, you know, a headache and a picture!

Leela: An idea?!

Fry: YEAH!

bwahahaha love it.

Don't worry about the future, or worry, but know that worrying is about as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.

~ Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

Thanks :) All three of yours were new to me, and I liked them all.

And obviously, I have to add another quote, and this one (and yes I know I say this almost every time) is really good, but I'll let you guys all make your own opinions.

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."
-Melody Beattie

"I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three." - Andy Rooney

^^haha I liked that one

And to add to the never ending supply of quotes I have already posted...

"To be nobody but myself -- in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else -- means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight, and never stop fighting."
-E. E. Cummings

"A random hookup is like a half eaten sandwich in the fridge: you don't know who ate it last, but it's 2 am and you're hungry."

Quotes I wrote September, 2006, was discussing a book idea with friend of mine so there may be some grammar or spelling, for the most part should allow people to pick out the underlying meanings.

I'm no leader; I'm a person with a collection of opinions and an attitude that reflects me and not some bullshit way we're supposed to be because of how society makes us within its mold.

I honestly look at old age and see it as like a crippled body and an active mind, and just constant pain, I couldn't deal with that.

You want to last forever, you need to live forever, and it’s just simply impossible.

I always wanted to be remembered in some way when I was younger, but now I think about, no one is truly remembered, we write a page in a history book and a century later the name is erased from our culture.

I got a cult following by being the devils advocate challenging when the victory for the opposition is in sight, because you never give up on anything, you fight until your clearly done or clearly victorious, life’s about challenges, and you’re meant to drive forward, not step back.

You can only go forward in time, not back, so why bother regretting or giving up, when either way, you can change the world around you with 1 simple action, and that simple action is you simply getting involved with your dream, and pushing it forward, never giving up, never surrendering to the thoughts of others.

I'm thinking we could make a book about simply exploring the idea of how society sees itself, and how it shows off the bright, the successful, but fails to show how they got there, fails to show that its possible from any situation to rise up and defy the odds that exist, for the odds are like rules, and rules are meant to be broken for pursuit of happiness is a God given right, just many don't fully understand their ability to hold it dear.

But I like how I've been given the gift of thought, being able to dig deep into the universe's collection of questions and answer them in my own way.

Unique in our own ways, but we're all interconnected all similar in 1 simple way. We all share the same desire to be ourselves, be unique, but what’s funny is, people conceive random, and unique to be people spread across the spectrum, considering grouping to be non-random, well, in life, grouping is random, and everyone's unique touches on someone else’s.

I've been talking to friends of mine, and I mean, I think of myself normally as a confused person, really living life through about 10 different viewpoints, each one taking in a piece of the puzzle and trying to fit it in with the others but unable to truly match up the corners. But as I'm getting into this book, I see myself starting to get the pieces matched up, and the picture that this puzzle is meant to show starting to become visible. It’s hard for many to understand, but if you get into ever writing something, you'll understand, you get a natural high, a deep look into your soul and how you want to express it. Literature is just an expression of the internal structure of ourselves shown through characters that represent our weaknesses, our strengths, and our unique aspects that make the people we are, so different from the next, but at the same time, sharing a very commonality, curiosity. I'm simply exploring my curiosity and just grasping hold of some of the ideas I've had floating around and transferring it into something that others can try to decipher, and make their own understanding come to light.

---- Following are more abstract, not statements made to someone else during a conversation.

The game of chess is a look at the future, but can you really judge the future? Never, but the best guess, the ability to analyze the world around you, take in the beauty and understand not just the field in front of you, but the individual pieces of it, and understanding each piece, until you realize that analyzing the pieces can determine the whole. When playing chess, you don't think about the queen, the king, you think about every piece, and how the move you make can be reacted to, the same way life plays out. Our subconscious analyzes things for us, but what if we started doing it in a more real-time way that led us to a greater understanding, now that’s life.

The past is meant to be repeated, but if you dwell on it, you'll be left thinking in the past as the future takes shape the same ways as the past but new variables added, and as you dwell on the past the equation to you seems unbalanced. If you want to truly go through life having the greatest experience, you got to understand the variables ahead of you, and those behind you, to judge the values of each, and balance your own equation for the future, the past, and the present.

Darkness, brightness, the words of choice behind the veil of vision, the vision to the world around us, blocked too few, shown to many. We take the ability to see as a way to view the world, but viewing is not necessarily sight, but understanding, words and tones express understanding and show the view on a deeper level, for when you hear the description of our natural beauties you don't need to see it, you can imagine it in all its glory and adding in the music, the tones of the area, you can further grasp the deepness of its glory, and the beauty that exists, not by sight, but by its true aura, the aura God meant for us to see, or rather imagine.

The need to grasp onto the roots, the roots of our being, are not necessarily a human emotion but a basic instinct showing that exploration beyond our safe zones, that we put out there, is the obstacle that all much conquer to get past the single minded view they are born with, and explore the thousands that are out there, picking the one that fits them, if not, creating their own. Everyone has a right to imagine, create, and more so think and believe. We have faith in our pursuits for a reason, our obstacles that are created in front of us are meant to reinforce our faith, giving up at an obstacle is not a failure, but a turn into a different direction to meet up with our final destination through a different route. Think of life's path not as linear, but curved. We can travel many ways from point “a” to point “b”, but traveling straight from life to death is not necessarily the way one wants to go about their life. They want to enjoy the different paths out there. Our paths are like a roadmap and we simply highlight the routes we can take and go through the list until we find the one that goes by the obstacles we want to, and passes over the ones we are determined to beat. Every success doesn't necessarily have to be perfectly done, with no failure, for success is simply completing the journey the way we wish and within that ideal we can understand failure can be infinite with the success still imminent.

Creation may be the opposite of destruction but has destruction been part of life as we know it or is the world recycled if it were an ideal rinsed, repeated, and reborn by the people that are believed to be leaders, but turn their power into a lust for glory, a glory that is not fulfilled through the perfection of their ideal and their following, but rather harming the opposition to show power. When we destroy one aspect of an ideal, won't it just come back, stronger? People fail to realize that destruction is impossible while ideas can be changed, ideals, the thoughts shared by the countless followers of cults, religions, and political orientations are unchanging, are at their base simplistic, and to the point they try each and everyday to achieve their own vision of utopia. But if the factions war for their own utopia, to be the one that lasts, isn't that utopia a forced world onto the countless others who wish otherwise. You can need to understand, a complete domination is a dream, never a reality. One may be down for the count, but knowing that every vision has a follower somewhere ready to take your place and continue the cycle, recycling the ideal, the belief, and letting the world know destruction is what needs to be understood. You can create, you can try to destroy, but in this world, nothing is lost, its merely forgotten, and brought back with a new look but with the basic properties of everything resulting from the original good vs. evil, light vs. dark, backgrounds that elevate all aspects of our culture to take in not the light nor the dark, but the grey, just how dark or how bright your grey may seem decides how your ideal exists in this world, searching for a utopia that is in its simplest form impossible, but at least as the war rages to gain that utopia fueled by a single belief, we see those beliefs that may be lost in the mix coming back, never truly lost, just changed into a new form and shown to the world as if it were a new way to see what is there around you.

but friends and family stab you in the front.

an idiot speaks because he has to say something.

You cannot hope to understand somebody completely until you cease to make assumptions about them. But that will never happen, so for now we'll settle with gentle acquaintances.
