So SWIM has done tons of searching and research on how it might be possible to isolate buprenorphine from suboxone. Seems like it is basically impossible to do, considering both chemicals are soluble in water and ethanol. SWIM was reading the msds sheets for both bupe and naloxone. SWIM would also like to mention that SWIM has no chemistry experience (other than simple CWE of hydros and percocets).

Buprenorphine Hydrochloride has a melting point of 265-271 C (509-519.8 F)

SWIM's question here is instead of removing the naloxone, would it be possible to heat the pills (maybe in an oven?) to simply destroy the naloxone without damaging the buprenorphine? (and obviously not burning the pills)

There are already TONS of threads out there already if you care to search, but why would you want to do this anyway? The binding affinity of bupe is waaaaay higher than the naloxone.

Besides, if you think removing the naloxone is going to make it suitable to inject, even if you're the slightest bit tolerant to opioids, the bupe is gonna do the same goddamn thing as the naloxone to you.(Instant WDs) This is because bupe has an alkyl group on the nitrogen. Or as someone else so eloquently put it, an "N-gofuckyourself-yl group"

On the other hand, if you're NOT tolerant, and you want to inject it (even WITH the naloxone) you'll get typical opioid-type effects, so your point seems moot.

Although IMHO, bupe really sucks as a recreational drug.

And finally, NO you cannot simply bake your pills in an oven and voilà! Etorphine!
 
no SWIM is not trying to inject, he just has gotten mixed stories on whether the naloxone blocks the recreational effects of the bupe at all....SWIM has an opportunity to pick up a handful of subs for a really good price. And was wondering if taken sublingually if he would feel any positive opiate effects (he already knows it will at least help his withdrawals), oh and yes SWIM is opiate tolerant (40 mg oc per day), but hasnt used for 3 days and is hurting bad.
 
If you're already WDing, then just use them as directed. They'll help.
Probably no euphoria though.

So does anyone know if any naloxone is even absorbed sublingually or nasally?
ive read mixed opinions on this, some say it is only active if you shoot it, some say it is active through and ROA.

The short answer is no, because any mucous membrane is the same, whether it's in you're nose, under you're tongue, or up yer bum.
