Yesterday's Blues
Layers of beauty calling
And dew drops of poppies
Laden with popiver somniferum jalopies
Winding down Pied Pipers
Nod in the spring
Sweet tender serenity captured your face
Thru the reflections on dew drops
From Morpheus' embrace
...Princes of ages and timeless sages
Dare devil free seekers
We were streakers
On acid and shrooms
Strippers dodging uniforms
Bearing oppression and gloom
Running naked in a crowded blend
Of stoners and trippers...
Leaving behind gestapos of Hitler's youth
And toxic nueron ladies wearin nothin
But long hair and smiles
Grinin as pigs,
Frustrated that we dare
To make like a wood habitat
Without fur we were bare
Gazing deep into your eyes
Is like a gentle tide of seduction
The beautific color of huge chunks
Of ice ablaze in the shadow of night
Daylight and a new day beginning
I remember those subtle soft waves
On the heat of the Nile
I remember as if
It were yesterday's blues
Stopping moments of warm,
Fuzzy bliss me and you
Dawn of a new day beginning
Misty tear drops on poppies
And daffodills honeysuckle dew
And the music on the barge
Was a lullaby hum
Your eyes of fire and ice
Ablaze and alight with hunger's edge
A hunger perhaps for answers to find
A new salve to heal
Wounds not forgotten
May we preserve
This subtle kiss of glory

Engraved upon my soul
