Xbox 360 xbox arcade ps3 wii ????

Anyway I guess if you add $100 to the price of your 360 you can mimic the PS3 controller perks but it still won't be as good because you'll be switching out batteries and the "plug and play" thing needs to be charged to work as well. Compared to the PS3 where you just plug a cord into the controller or unplug it it's a lot more hassle. With the PS3 your controller can be going dead and you plug it in and start charging without even stopping play.

I must disagree with your statement here. I own a 360, with 2 play and charge kits. no battery swapping, and uses a USB charge cable which plugs straight from the console into the controller, so when the battery begins to die, you can just plug it straight in and have no loss of play.

I'm kinda biased though. I wanted to like the PS3, I really did, after owning the PS1, PS2 and PSP, but sony dropped their pants and shit on european consumers from a great height.

And don't get me started on the whole backwards compatability debacle.

My vote goes to none of the above. Just use your PC. Spend the money that you would on a console towards a nice video card(if you don't already have one, the GeForce 8800GT offers incredible bang for the buck as far as low priced cards go). If you don't already have a decent machine, depending on what you do have you could upgrade it to make it a decent gaming rig for the same money you'd spend on a console. That way you can download some of your games(or all of them if you're so inclined). Plus you can use emulators to play any of your old favorites. Hooking it up to your HDTV isn't a problem either. There are adapters to use the controller from any console if you have a particular favorite one. Plenty of games have all sorts of mods and various user created content. I'm a big gamer and haven't owned a console since a Nintendo 64 and will probably never own another one.

First Person Shooter = FPS

And really Call of Duty 4 is where it's at for that.
For racing: Project Gotham Racing
And for sports. I don't know cause all sports games are crap.

I'll look into Call of Duty 4 and Gotham. Why do you think all sports games are crap?
