hey guys i have a question maybe someone can help me out i was taking xanax almost evrey night for almost a month i started with 2mg a night and moved up to 4 so for the last 4 nights i didnt take them because im scared of w/d from them i cant really tell if i do or do not have benzo withdrawl because i am still curently using heroin so should i feel the w/d if they were there i know i havent really slept wel since i stoped but no other big w/d symptoms also can i continue taking the xanax at night dailly and not suffer w/d because of the short half life? i never take it during the day will that also help prevent w/d due to the fact i always wait atleast 24hr before i redose pls help me out guys thank you

youd know if you were experiencing benzo w/d... believe me.
Its almost as bad (Just Different) as Opiate w/d, its not something you 'wouldnt notice'

oh its worse IMO, as far as the actual physical dangers involved, anythings possible but the psychological possibilities with benzo w/d are endless in a bad way, and the threat of gran-mal seizures is the trump. ive never been through benzo w/d, but am on a hefty dose of klonopin and have started losing it from the w/d before. scary stuff.

you should be alright it sounds, spacing out that short lived benzo as you have been. i feel a bit confused as to your actual intake, and can not or would not try and say whats best with these drugs, whats best for beny w/d is a med professional. listen to your body, your gut feeling is usually the right one... it sounds like you will be okay, as far as the withdrawals go, but good god be careful, if you decide to take some xanax, after tapering so much, while on some dope... it could be good night before you know it.

im sure its hard to tell exactly what reaction your body is having while on the H, but as said above, youd know if it was on with the xanax withdrawal, or at least anyone around you would...!

I'd say you're just new to benzos and not as prone to withdrawals from them, yet. Those are pretty high doses of Xanax, so with it's 8 hour half life, at 2mg each night, you're down to 0.25-0.5mg by the next night, but that's enough Xanax that it would produce withdrawals on it's own, over long periods of time. So no, 2mg, or even worse 4mg a night will NOT keep you clear of benzo withdrawals, you're just a lucky beginner who isn't prone to them yet. I'm very prone to benzo withdrawals, a single 2mg dose of Clonazepam will give me rebound anxiety and worsened sleep. When I started on benzos, I was taking 2mg every 1-3 days, for about a month, and had no withdrawals. I was then on 0.5-1mg everyday, prescribed for 2 months and had to taper from 1mg, and even with the taper the withdrawals were not pleasant at all. Luckily a single high dose of Xanax or Ativan or Temazepam still won't send me into rebound anxiety, so I'm happy for that fact, but Diazepam and Clonazepam are out of the picture for me unless I do a mini taper off a single dose to lessen the rebound anxiety.

Good luck, benzos are the worst addiction... The dependencies they can produce are like being an incredibly dedicated Alcoholic who continues to drink even in their sleep. Not good.

ive been taking 6mg klonopin at once daily for about 2.5 years n i can stop for weeks without feelijng any W/D, but those damn valiums n xannys... diff story

Maybe them vals and zans are replacing the klonopin when its not there?
