Benzos xanax xr vs xanax ir

i jus got prescribed xanax 2mg xr n take one every morning. first day i took it orally and felt mellow, helped anxiety, somewhat sedated but no real euphoric feeling as to the 2mg IR ( im a very experienced bezno user for the past 3 years). i do like how the xrs last mostly thought out the day n help with anxiety where as the IRs for me only last a cpl hours. today i parachuted my xr n felt the effects much quicker n got more of a euphoric feeling for the first hr n it still lasted mostly through out the day jus as when i took it orally. me and my addict thinking i would of course rather have 2mg IRs to get more of that euphoric feeling but these xrs def suffice and hep immensely with my anxiety in general, panic attakcs, and social axiety. my question is to other people who have had xanax xrs n irs n how they personally feel about the two and the effects they get from both an which they prefer
