Xanax (XR) vs other benzo Personality Changes

(For those of you too lazy to read all this, just please post personality changes benzos have given you. Positive or negative)

I have used xanax recreationally before. Made me do stupid things, say stupid things, blackout etc. I am now on 2mg Xanax XR prescribed, and am noticing some personality changes such as a sort of rejection sensitivity (and if xanax causes your brain to produce less serotonin I guess this would make sense). I notice that, sometimes I love being alone on xanax but for the most part, if its like daytime or something, I really wanna go out and interact with people. I see myself being impulsive in relationships, ending them too quickly stuff like that. I see myself reallly feeling the need to be intimate with a girl. And..so yea.
I've been on klonopin before, this was back before I was in prison (they actually stopped me cold turkey when I first got to priosn. Worst expierence of my life) I was pretty far gone back then, and if it was the klonopin making me how I was, I was very disconnected, I felt insuperior, impulsive, dysphoric, always always alwas looking for drugs, but I do remember one HUGE positive to me. And I'm telling you guys, this in any medication/drug is the biggest positive for me, I noticed I was a lot more into music. (But I was also on another medication back
then that's known to increase music appreciation, gabapentin 800mg three time
a day. But I'm currently on lyrica 225 three times a day and I know it
has that same music apprecation, but am definently nowhere near as much
appreciative to music as I was back then. I was also on 10mg dexedrine t.I.d back then and am now on 70 milligrams dexedrine daily) So if you guys know any benzos that are good for music please let me know, I'm also going to give you a list of the medication I'm on now because it may do good somehow and if you noticed any change with music with them please let me know. I'm currently on 70mg dextroamphetamine IR daily, 225 Lyrica three times a day 2mg Xanax xr in the morning, 1250mg phenibut daily, and Diphenhydramine and melatonin for sleep.
Alright now my main question here was, for anyone who has used benzos and noticed personality changes. Which benzos gave you which type of personality change? Howd they make you act different. Could be positive or negative changes. I would appreciate it VERY much.

Xanax just made me extremely paranoid after the 2 hours it hit, stimulated in a weird way too. I didn't really know much about the mind altering qualities of benzos so I thought I was going insane. I thought it was cool at the time, but as of now, as I have a lot of things to do, I can't really rely on it for almost anything

Klonopin just killed my liking to music, I only used the relaxation it gave me to push everyone and everything against the wall and always waiting for them to throw the punch. I would probably have ended up in prison if it wasn't for my family putting me in rehab against my will

but, I do think Klonopin is the better drug if it's used and timed correctly, you can deal with just about anything for those blissful 4-8 hours of ignorance

Btw, you look pretty young, if you don't mind me asking how old are you now and what age did you get into prison?

Also I know what yu mean about xannie making yu paranoid when it first kicks in. When it first kicked in (at least the IRs I) I hadda weird almost more anxious feeling. Like I wasn't in control of myself kinda.

Are all these drugs prescribed? It's seems a bit redundant to take Lyrica, Xanax and phenibut - all drugs that affect GABA. And the dextroamphetamine is kind of opposite in action to all the other drugs, for example it's stimulating while they're more sedating and relaxing, it is excitatory in the way it affects neurotransmitters, they are inhibitory. It just seems like a strange combination to me. I think it will be hard for you to tell which drug is causing you which effects or side effects when you are taking so many each day.

I have not really noticed personality changes from benzos for me aside from being less inhibited and less sensitive, (but also tireder so less desire to do stuff). Maybe a little dysphoric sometimes, but that's a feeling as opposed to a personality effect.

As for music, I think benzos generally make me less interested in music. We're all different though.

well, i'm not a rageaholic agoraphobic nutcase on klonopin. so i would say those are the attributes that stick out the most.

xanax just made me fiend for more when it wore off.

i think i'd benefit from the klonopin plus a short acting benzo purely for attacks, but my psychiatrist is not very "liberal" and tells me things like "this is what we do in life. we have jobs and work. this is good." and it's like...yeah. yeah, that's what we do. thank you for the profound statement. just give me the fucking script you refuse to go up on.

i do have serious memory lapses. like i won't remember things that people just naturally learn because any fucking idiot can do it. like directions, memorization. but i have my einstein had to carry around his address and didn't brush his hair thing to fall back on. i think a lot of intelligent people struggle with things joe blow can do because he doesn't realize....how trivial and awful it is. or something.

anyway, i forget a lot of shit which is pretty much okay because i only let like 3 people max into my life at all times and it's easy to remember things about 3 people.

While it is common to be prescribed dextroamphetamine (or similar stimulant drugs) with benzos, it does seem like you're on three downers when you should only be on one.

And benzos haven't caused me any personality changes that I'm aware of, but you're taking much higher doses than I've ever been prescribed.

Hello, i am french so excuse my bad english.

I take xanax or clonazepam occasionally sometimes when i can't sleep or if i feel bad at the end of the day ; i have been taking Stattera 80mg for 2 months now ( still waiting for a miracle...8)). I have develop a lot of anxiety due to my ADHD over the last 20 years and i am trying strattera as an alternative to stimulants which make me agressive, stressed out and, well more speedsy and anxious!

I never felt anything special about music when i am on benzos because....I love musique like crazy all the time...!!

The only drug that made me litteraly walk, dance, and climb on the music notes was K when i was younger....

I would say benzos makes me more moody and tired, i wouldn't have fun with it. Sometime i use it to calm down after a "special evening" and i am to energized to go to bed. Voilà.

idk wtf kinda logic my docs using. I never asked for 70 fuckin milligrams of dex.
and when I asked if xannie might help, he put me on 2mg right away.
and GET THIS, i said my nueropathy was still pretty bad and he suggested taking away the lyrica (225 t.id.) and putting me on gabapentin 1200mg t.i.d

which one do you guys think is worse (as in too much) gabapentin 1200mg t.i.d or lyrica 225mg t.i.d

to be completely honest..I'm very tempted to ask for a maybe 200mg of gabapentin t.i.d with the lyrica just because my music appreciation was so much higher on it. or maybe just getting off the lyrica and doing the gabapentin 1200mg t.i.d

Xanax has severly impacted my memory. I have to keep a diary every day now of what I do and who I speak to - I'm only 38 and before I started with this crap 18 months ago I was quite spry. I guess the one good thing about memory loss is that you don't remember that you've forgotten. But it can get scary when someone says "You had an MRI last month" and I have no recollection of that at all. Faaaaaaark. X is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
