Xanax Strengths apples to apples on the dosages

Hi All,

I occasionally use Xanax for recreational purposes to come down after taking MDMA. We're talking about once every six months.

I have three different types and me and my friends plan to take it like we have been for the last few years. This time it was my task to get the benzos and we have about 10 people in my group, all college friends, later 30's. Anyhow, I was not able to get the same stuff I normally get which is these white bars that say 2 on one side and ONAX on the other, 2mg of Alprazolam.

This time I got a mix of:

1 MG Ksalols - light blue with no markings, essentially 1mg of Alprazolam.
2MG bars that are white and blank on one side with G3722 on the one side and scored so that you can split them up into 4 .½ mg pieces, essentially 2mg of Alprazolam.
2MG pills that that are nearly identical to the G3722's but say 2 on one side and XANAX on the other and are also scored so that I can break these up into 4 separate ½ mg pieces, also 2mg of Alprazolam.

So, what to do here? Is it safe to assume that mg per mg these pills are all equal strength? I don't want to be giving my friends shit that I haven't done my homework on and there doesn't seem to be any data online that does a comparison between the various brands. I'd love some feedback and hope I've posted in the correct forum. It seems that I have.

I understand that breaking the bars in half I have 1mg and that the Ksalol PILLS are 1mg, it's not necessary (at least not at this juncture, how much to give each person, who have all taken Xanax in the past, and together) it's just the strength of the respective manufactures that I am concerned about. I have heard that these Ksalols are potent and 1mg can knock you on your ass compared to 1mg of the various other Xanax bars. It has been my experience that the ONAX works fine but I have taken the G3722 and feel like they're stronger and last longer than the ONAX bars that I have taken in the past. I usually take ½ to 1mg but no more as it knocks me out just fine and puts to to sleep. I wake up the next morning about 8-10 hours later and feel very nice and rested.

Xanax is xanax is xanax, different brands don't mean jack shit. Take your usual dose of xanax.

Well, if I have broken a rule, sorry, but it would be good to know if there was a difference factoring in the whole safety concern, assuming my concern is even a valid one. Multiple opinions are appreciated.

It's true that some people may occasionally notice slight differences between brands (although that could be due to any number of other factors) but unfortunately we don't allow brand discussion/comparison here because it is purely speculation (and everyone will have a different opinion). With the exception of factual differences like, say, if one is IR and one is ER, or comparing the inactive ingredients. Some might absorb faster than others or something, but 1 mg alprazolam = 1 mg alprazolam. It is pretty safe to assume that if they are all regular release and all alprazolam then they should be roughly equal in effects. If you are that worried about it you could always tell people to start with a slightly lower dose than normal.
