Xanax, self esteem and relaxation (please read, would mean a lot to me)

just to keep you guys in the loop, i got more xanax to help calm me down get decent sleep but I feel my tolerance rebuilding. I did 10mg today, and zopiclone and i felt not even slightly drowsy. mind you Ive had no stimulants today. lucky its only been a few weeks withdrawals wont be that bad

what I found help is that its 3:30am I cant sleep again, Im just gonna ride it out all day till about 10-11pm go to bed with promethazine to keep me asleep and just stay away from this crap

do elaborate
sorry, it didnt have to do w/ your question, but you seem to be in the early stages of your xanax use where the drug seems wonderful, like a godsend.. eventually you get over that when you realize those feelings you get from the xanax start getting harder to achieve. this makes ya need more and more worst of all when you dont have your xanz ur useless. in regards to your question...whiskey will do the trick

Have you considered that maybe your anti-depressants aren't completely controlling your anxiety? Sometimes people treated for depression will report that the "feeling sad" aspect goes away well before the treatment manages to control the "negative self talk/attitude" aspect. You could be having a similar experience with anxiety, where the anxious feelings have gone, but the anxiety-related lack of motivation is still there. Are you just generally feeling unmotivated, or are you not getting things done because you're second-guessing your decisions or talking yourself out of doing things due to fear?

If it's just general lack of motivation and you don't think it's anxiety-related, therapy might help. There's a variety of different kinds (everyone will tell you cognitive behavioural therapy - it can work, but it's not for everyone) so maybe do a bit of research on psychologists in your area and what kinds of therapy they offer.

STOP DOING XANAX NEVER TOUCH IT
little background first, my brother was using it recreationally and become addicted to it several years in and out of rehab finally got sober and has been for the past year or so. he put my parents thru hell and all that. For some stupid idiotic reason i wanted to try it out of curiosity and decided to buy 40 got a good deal, this is was 4 days ago (i think could have been a week for all i remember). In the first 2 days i took 20 somehow dont even remember taking them thought i lost them. over the next day or so i was taking a little here and there, knew what i was getting myself into but i continued stupidly. Juust this morning i flushed the last 12 or so i had down the toilet. this drug destroys lives, it robs your memory and emotions the wothdrawels are unimaginable, and apparently i cut my self which is not like me at all. just please please anyone stop before its too late do not become dependant on these i cant stress this enough ive seen horrible things from ppl withdrawing from benzos, seizures are not uncommon. This probly isnt the right thread to post this but i had to post it somewhere.
