xanax questions

how much is a fun/safe dose to take?
Is snorting benficial?
How much Alcohol is dangerous when combined?
I have the .5mg pills (half 4bar) and taking two at a time has done little. Im 6'7 275 so that may be a factor.
Should I drink a beer or two? How do these compare with Valiums? Do they have similar effects? Which do yall prefer?

Tallas-with your size, take the whole bottle..J/K-take 4 of those puppies, and if you would like wash them down with a couple of brewskies, it should do the job. I think Valiums are a bit more sedating, but Xanax are very similar to Vals. You might want to start w/ taking 4 Xanac (2mgs) then work you way up depending on how well they do you in (w/out the alcohol). Then, once you get your dosage down, mix with alcohol. But, be slightly cautious, because mixing benzos and alcohol is potential fun, but also potential risks at high intake levels.

I am assuming you have taken this medication before...... if not, try a small dose to make sure you don't react poorly to them. If you don't, the above advice is OK. Drinking and taking these is fun but dangerous, don't drink too much.
Valium has a much much longer half life.
 
To offer a slightly different opion:
Benzo's are different for everybody. Personally I find xanax to be much more sedating than valium. I like them both but for different reasons. Xanax (being a short-acting benzo) seems to hit me much harder than valium (being a long-acting benzo), but valium lasts much longer.
If you have never done xanax and currently have a low or non-existant benzo tolerance I would say just eat .5mg to start. You can always eat more and it will cut down the chances of passing out after a half-hour if 2mg would be too much. Like Tribulus said a couple drinks are cool, but don't drink too much. Aside from the physical risks you also risk acting like a complete asshole which is common with drinking too much while on benzo's.
I never liked to snort xanax. It never really seemed to hit any faster or harder, I dont think (someone correct me if I am wrong) that it can be absorbed into the tissue in your nose. I think that all it does is drip back down into your stomach. I would just eat them.

Why is this dangerous? As long as you're not driving I don't see any risk.
The fact that you are 6'7 shouldn't have much of a bearing on the way a Benzo affects you.
On a mg/mg basis, they are stronger than valium. They hit faster, but the 'high' is also gone much faster.
Try taking 4 next time. You should definitely feel something. Don't drive though.

^^ HaHa, I'm guilty of skimming questions, I'll admit it.
As far as the possible physical effects for the benzo/alcohol combo go it is pretty bad on your liver and you run the risk of passing out and choking on your own vomit (rare, but possible).
 
so 2-3 beers and 3-4 pills should be a fairly safe and decent buzz? I've had some slight dizziness and minor headaches with eating these, but then again, I get dizzy as hell from Vitamins. I took a couple today and have had no dizziness or headaches (which may be attributed to too much E or my hypoglycemia) so I'll give it a another try with the beer
 
Yeah, you are definitely way in the safe range with what you said.
Just be careful because it's really easy to blackout. Once you get fucked up it is easy to keep eating more pills and drinking and then the next thing you know its the next day and you have no idea what happened to the last 12 hours. Then your friends can fill you in on all the shit you did to make an ass out of yourself the night before. It's funny but kind of scary at the same time. Its really easy to do something dangerous. (my peace and love hippie roomate pulled a knife on me one night after 100mg of valium and a half bottle of kettle-one vodka, and had no memory of it the next day). That's a hell of alot more than 2mg of xanax and a couple beers, though. So yeah, you will be cool, just be careful not to go all out.
 
Benzo's and alcohol is not a major risk to the liver...no worse than just having a few beers.
I think you may be thinking of APAP and Alcohol...
But yes, 2-3mg's of Xanax and a few beers will definitely have you intoxicated...before you pass out.
 
Well for example..
6 mg of xanax... For me.
I remember up until 30 min after i took em.. (took em 8pm monday night)
Then woke up on floor in kitchen thinking it was tuesday morning 8am....
It was actually wednesday 8am.
And i had actually done stuff on tuesday that i had no idea about???
Freaky enough?
