Can Xanax weed intensify each other?

I have a relatively high weed to tolerance, but I have very low Xanax tolerance, but I've had quite a few experiences with them so I know how much I can handle, so I only took half a bar (1mg) and it had me feeling pretty good, but not really fucked up, then about 45 minutes after I smoked a blunt , but then I realized that after I smoked the blunt that I was so fucked, like stumbling around and shit, I've smoked on Xanax plenty of times, but it's never fucked me up that bad, especially being on a small dose of Xanax, has anyone else ever had this experience?

One mg of Xanax by itself can make a non tolerant person very tired, as it's a sedative. So it makes sense that smoking weed with it knocked you down. To answer your question, yes they can intensify the other.

And by adding a benzodiazepine, you are going to enhance GABAergic activity, and part of the above activity comes from suppression of GABAergic activity and enhancement of glutamatergic activity in the prefrontal cortex, which the alprazolam will work against.

Xanax + Weed = Fucked. Yes, other people have had that experience. 1mg is not necessarily a small dose and if you got this Xanax bar from anywhere other than a pharmacy/doctor... it may not have even been Xanax.

GABA is the chemical that inhibits your brain and fucks it up by blocking the release of chemicals. Xanax will potentiate this because it causes GABA to function far more efficiently and will cause the weed to enhance GABA more as well and block glutamate.

Glutamate is the main excitatory chemical in your brain that promotes neurotransmission and firing of your neurotransmitters. Without the xanax, marijuana can cause increase glutamatergic neurotransmission by inhibiting GABAergic neurons.

Increased glutamatergic neurotransmission in the PFC is responsible for the effects of LSD and similar drugs, and this effect is what you want from weed. Adding xanax is going to block this by increasing GABAergic neurotransmission which will shut this down and block the the psychedelic effect of weed.

If you have questions, ask. I don't know if this is simpler enough. lol it's hard to put in relatively simpler terms than this.

Essentially, by adding xanax, you are blocking the desired effects of THC and just adding to sedation, which is fine, if that is what you desire.

Im absolutely positive it was Xanax, it came from a friend who has a script, I've heard of ppl selling fake Xanax, but how common is it?

I would say it would be very uncommon. Just be sure to check size/color/form/numbers/letters online when you buy pills. And I wouldn't buy capsules from people as you don't know what the hell is in it.

The generic unisom that contains the little blue doxylamine footballs in it is sometimes is sold as generic 1mg alprazolam as it does come in that form and color. Watch out for this. You don't want to buy a shitty antihistamine.


But as for actual "fake" xanax going around... I highly doubt you'd ever encounter that. It's more likely it's other similar looking pills - is that what you heard of?

This happens all the time. I've seen the qualitest 20mg baclofens pass as 5mg norcos as well. Some people are shady dicks with no decency or morals, so you have to look up crap before you buy.

A lot of doctors don't prescribe Xanax now. A lot of people still want Xanax though. Hence fentanyl, cannabinoids and RC benzos being pressed into bars and passed off as the real deal by shady vendors via the most ghetto alleys of the internet. Oxys containing heroin, fentanyl analogues, novel opiates etc.

Ecstasydata tests the contents of pills people send in, check out some of their 'xanax' results if you like. I wouldn't take any pharmaceutical these days unless I picked it up at a pharmacy myself.

It isn't just on the internet they're being sold though. Pharmaceuticals like adderall and all kinds of benzos and opiates are preferred by a lot of people over powders that have been cut and diluted by every set of hands the stuff has gone through, people see brand name products and think they know what they're getting. Fake pharmaceuticals are all over the place at the moment.

OP: Sorry, I don't mean to sound like a scare campaign. A lot of people do underestimate just how popular it is at the moment though.

I wasn't referring to you Blue, there's a few threads on here about it with hundreds of posts of people who got a bunch of oxycontin that turned out to be fentanyl or people claiming that certain benzo or stimulant has just flooded their town at cheap prices. All kinds of fakes are turning up everywhere.. Where ever there is a market for them really. There were always 'internet pharmacies' selling counterfeit Valium and Viagra or whatever, but now, there are so many vendors, so many research chemicals and the presses on the fakes are virtually identical..

Happens with everything eventually I guess.. Louis Vuitton gear, Nike shoes, D&G sunglasses, why not Xanax?

Fake xan bars are actually pretty common in my area (texas). the fake ones are more smooth shiny looking and are hard as fuck, if it doesn't "melt down" under your tongue in 5 seconds its fake, and it should taste NASTY as soon as it hits your tongue. But the fakes are still not as common as the real ones. I would say a good way to test it also is that a single 2mg bar should get you really fucked up, if not, its fake.

In the past couple years alone I've seen fake bars twice (perfect imprint- was told they were off the net, but 'probably alprazolam though', but that was by the kind of person who had fake Xanax bars so 8)), fake modafinil, I'm assuming fake Adderall (because it isn't even a prescription drug in my country) and fake phentermine (don't even want to know what they were) and I don't even know the 'bootlegger' types. Tbh, I hardly even know any drug-users now and I've still seen my share of counterfeits.

Jay, I have to disagree with that 'best way to tell' sentiment. Best way to tell is get them scripted and from a pharmacy.

Modafinil actually gets a fair bit of hype in the media here -like a Vice article that compared it to NZT from the movie Limitless 8)- and phentermine is still the go-to pill for weight loss I guess. Anywhere there's a market for it.
