any 3A4/enzyme concerns with this one? I am not worried about respiratory depression or anything b/c I am prescribed 1.5mg a day and have always taken it as prescribed. however, since I quit smoking cigs, I am trying to make my daily dose go as far as it can. mostly b/c of college related stuff. so, had 12oz WGFJ, .75mg alprazolam and am thinking about a shot or two of bourbon. I mix alpraz and small amounts of alcohol nearly daily. it is the GFJ that is the variable. btw, which enzymes metabolize alcohol?

-thanks

I am afraid I don't know the answer to your question, but if WGFJ did interact with alcohol (potentiate it), then I think you would have heard about it before.

ugh just had a shot. didn't feel right after it settled. I thought I had tried this before a few years ago and had the same reaction. mods can close this if you want or perhaps exersize your expertise.

All you can really do is try the grapefruit juice and see what happens. Take a little bit i suppose. I know with valium grapefruit really slows down how your liver gets rid of it. I am not sure if it is the same with other benzos.

no what I want to know is how dangerous is combining all three. not from any respiratory standpoint but in toxicity to your liver. my (very) limited personal experience says your liver must be working significantly harder to process the etOH
