WTF is on my legs?

I have these huge red rashy like circular rashes on my legs, both of them, one on my lower leg. The other is on my shin. They are about the size of golf balls. I have no clue what this could be. My housekeeper keeps telling me its just chiggers to apply some ointment but this don't look like no friggin chiggers. Please help!

You're not giving much info... Are they like outline circles? Or filled in- like a uniform red spot? Is there anything in the middle- like if it could be an insect bite of some kind.. Have you gone anywhere or done anything unusual where you may have come in contact with some sort of irritant? Any other systemic symptoms? Raised or flat? Itchy? painful? Staying the same size or growing? Weepy or dry? Is your skin there thick/flaky/blistered? If they are painful and/or getting noticeably worse you probably need to go on to the doctor. But if you want anyone to even speculate you need to provide more information- and this is an Internet board- that's all we can do - speculate. If they are really freaking you out, go get them looked at.

The pharmacist said it was just an insect bite. Can I trust them?
