like $40 for two months. GNC will have it for sure.

GNC and all of those creatine-matrix products are an absolute complete waste of money.....

Just order some Creatine monohydrate powder or I personally prefer Creatine Ethyl Ester as it has minimal bloat.........

jesus...What's with all of you beginners and GNC??

I can't front though, when I started 2 years ago I fondly remember walking into a GNC and spending $60 on No-xplode and glutamine =D

save your money for food and protein

I've taken notes and kept records of my progress.
I did really well for myself. I prevented going overboard.
This worked out well. Now I know how ma' body responds.

don't knock it till you've tried it. i am by no means a beginner.

I've pretty much tried every supplement on the market, especially all of the creatine formulas......don't get me wrong, creatine is great but some of the creatine products out there are ridiculously overpriced.....

Whey protein
Creatine
Amino acids
Glutamine

^^ all u need

Does anybody read bodybuilding mags with the new products? Anyone ever use said products? I ask cause' I have books only. Wouldn't buy a mag unless somebody I know is in it.

Magazines are nothing more than targeted advertisement. That you pay money to read. If you are curious about supplements, do a bit of research and find out what you'd like to try on your own, rather than buy a bottle of some 'unique ultra-effective proprietary blend (meaning they don't tell you what's in it) of muscle ripping, fat burning greatness' because it had a picture of some photoshopped roid monkey in the ad.

I'm 50/50 with supplements out there for bodybuilding or serious training. If you are training hard taking some L-glutamine for recovery and Why protein should be all you need but purists will say stretching and high protein foods suffice. Taking it to another level creatine can be of use. As for No-explode, tribulus and HMB you might take it for medium-experienced training but once again there are a lot of people out there who just eat whole foods and take a multivitamin and still get results relying on their natural energy.

Will be going for another bike-ride today- have been pleased with the week so far just a bit of junk food here and there but will try to burn that off.

Keep it up people!!!

Right on. Fitness magazines are the dumping ground for fad diets and exercise routines and fake claims about supplements.

Watch the movie Bigger, Stronger, Faster sometime. It'll really open your eyes about what garbage these ads are (and a lot of other things too).

I was fucked up for a minute about having to look this way or that; it wasn't realistic and stressful on my mind wanting "that look". And I couldn't get straight answers from people.

Once in a while when I take notes and everthing clicks....it's like. YEA. I get to claim I've got a piece of what the industry is doing. And it's my own self evaluated material. For example, I was doing threshold interval training and I noticed a decline in my ability after a three day break.

I look at Men's Fitness for the pictures. It is like soft core porn :)
The articles are different from bodybuilding mags. Less ads for supplements too.

so week one down. guilty of: 1 V energy drink, 2 desert servings 1 extra beer-pretty minimal really when I write it like this!

Week 2 goals: get to the gym once, no caffeine, no cigs again, drinking in the weekend, no junk food Monday-Saturday. 3x bike rides 2x runs. sauna once. no tv and no radio!

What about others...keep going people!!!!

I won a 60 min personal training session at the fitness studio I go to. I booked it for this Wednesday night which is one of the 2 days I take off from the gym. My goal...to get through it successfully and enjoy the mind-body challenge. I am excited!

Get over the guilt factor when not sticking to your plan. Move on. Do something positive. Focus on the good things you do for yourself.

I had a Grey goose martini, an 11oz rare beef filet, and weed last night. I feel good about that.

damn-gave into energy drink temptation today :!

yep definately good to get over the guilt factor if indulging. And when writing it like this it sounds so minor!

I figure it will take me weeks to get it right but small inputs will get big results.

Went for a long bike-ride today and had a healthy sub for lunch. Am vitamined up but still feel lousy!

Magazines are cool if you like staying up to date with the world of bodybuilding. I think the most respected hardcore bodybuilding mag is Flex.
