Be nice if in a few years we can buy our programmable ez-testers for 20$, take them home and configure them...
IF(substance)= "methylenedioxy-n-methylamphetamine" THEN DISPLAY="PURPLE"
ELSE
IF(substance)= "dextromethorphan" THEN DISPLAY="GREEN"
ELSE
IF(substance)= "ketalar" THEN DISPLAY="YELLO"
...and so on

seriously, within ten years there will probably be a nanotech device that will do this. there was one patented last year that tested for virii in blood in think.
its the same tech, maybe we just need to let some boffins and money men know that there is a market for such a device and it could happen.
anyone know much about TLC (thin layer chromotography (sp?))
