Yes.
Because I wanted to have sex. Technically the first time this happened it was sort of accidental. Wandering through Philadelphia, looking for a store to by an iced tea. When I saw a red neon sign that said "open" I thought I might have found the right place. Turned out to be an all Chinese run massage therapy place that had no advertising and was open at 4:15am. They even took credit cards! That was an interesting experience, I don't regret it, and it made my trip more interesting and memorable. Also it was my first time with an Asian woman.
Times where I don't think it's ok is when girls are forced into prostitution or who have pimps that control every aspect of their lives. I haven't met a ton of women who are in that line of work. I think the most stereotypical idea is that they are all addicted to drugs and doing it to support their habit. While this is true for many, it's not always the case. Also, this probably doesn't even need to be said, but paying for underage girls is really bad,, and down right soul disturbingly fucked up if they are being forced into it.

As a man, it can be hard to have sex when you want to. I'm sure it's not easy for women either, but it's easy enough that men will literally pay you for the experience.

Additionally this can offer the chance to have a sexual fantasy fulfilled. It might be hard to bring it up to a new partner, even if you've already been intimate a few times. If you bring it up and he/she's not down, then you just never get to experience it? Having her coerced into doing it wouldn't work for me either. It's much more pleasurable when both parties are getting something erotic out of it.
 
No, never. I want a woman, man, or couple-any type male/female, male/male, female/female, etc. to want me for who I am as a person, not because I am paying them to pretend to.

When I was 18-22 I thought about doing porn and sex for pay as a Dominant as I was desperate for cash, and I had some naivety and youthful narcissism. But I wound up meeting men and women who were former prostitutes/sex 'workers' and they all said how it was the worst and most dangerous 'job' they ever had, and said how doing sex for pay or porn was a mistake. Many told me they had been raped, robbed, beat up, and stalked by clients. Also a lot of prostitutes wind up being trafficked, have pimps/madams, or are forced via hard drug addiction, desperation, or other factors into the dangerous world of sex for pay.

I know where those massage parlours in that city are. No I never went to one. But a friend became curious about where his roommate would discreetly go to that he did not talk about, and staked him to an East Asian massage place.

If it were me, I would have never done any of that as it is his own personal business, personal choice, and not mine. But my friend loves playing mind games of manipulation, airing gossip or private sex stories of others, and I would not be surprised if he was into blackmail either emotionally/psychologically, or otherwise.

I am sure you are wondering why I am friends with such a person? We have known each other since we were 12, and he was not always like this, and he does have very good qualities such as being a loyal and true friend, but I do not fall for his control/mind games, and when he once or twice openly gossiped about me while drunk I was angry inside but then just embraced it, did not hide it, and told everyone at the party we were at that what I had told him in what I thought was confidence was completely true.

That East Asian section of the city has stores that sell inexpensive porcelain tea pots, traditional East Asian decorations/art/clothing East Asian green and oolong teas, and excellent authentic East Asian restaurants that are not overly expensive.

Also don't walk around that area of the city that late at night/morning unless it is down the block from where you are staying. There is lots of crime and the murder rate is almost as high ot maybe worse than it was in the early 1990s.

Those places get busted all the time but when one closes, three more open, and I guess most of the massage ladies are online now?

It is a waste of time the police are not solving murders in Killadelphia.
