I am thinking about buying a beer kit online because of the outrageous price of beer here. The beer kits themselves are pretty cheap but if you have to buy the equipment it can get pricey. Though it would still pay off in the long run.

However my dad has a wine kit and im thinking that making beer isnt that much different then making beer. Can i use his wine kit to make beer? He has the buckets for brewing it in and also the hose for syphoning it into bottles. So could i use his wine kit and save myself alot of money?

I don't see any reason why you couldn't use the wine buckets and hose but you'll need to get the other things you need for beer like the malt liquid or dry malts, hops, boiling pot and beer yeast.

yeah, i think you could make that work.

there is a lot of room for experimentation when brewing beer and there really is just one golden rule - be fastidious about cleanliness - and you should be fine.

good luck!

This seems promising. I was thinking about getting some coopers pale ale which is a Australian beer. My friend in south Australia drinks it all the time.

I have never made beer before is it very complicated? \do you have to boil the beer or anything? Also im going to have to buy the water as my water is not fit to drink st sll. It's well water and the only one that drinks it is my dad. Can believe i used that to shoot up coke once ffs. So ya water is going to cost me a few bucks just realized that now.

My tip get GingerBeerPlant [GBP], a symbiotic culture of Bacteria and Yeast.
Super robust, so basickly when you work sterile, kitchen not hospital style.
Once running it will 100% protect itself. It contains robust bacteria.
Not only against other s also in not letting the Yeast take over.

It also can survive till up to about 14 % Ethanol content without dying.
Its used to be done the non/ low 2.5 % Ethanol max, open air way.
To make real Ginger Beer, with beneficial pro-biotica.
A DIY lemon-aid from the old days of UK. Contains Lemon too.

Or the closed, no air way, where the Ethanol can t escape.
Never done that so you have to check how and buy a GBP.
Which are not expensive but only one person on earth selling it from the UK.

PM me and i seek his website. After the purchase the GBP reproduces quick.
Quicker then rabbit s, so you can give it away. Only necessity, thick Beer bottles.
With a special stop that is resistant to pressure, the once s you can plop open and close up. Needed to, for releasing the CO2 or they will blow up.

Meanwhile the Ethanol content will raise, due to the cork it can t escape.
Tastes great i imagine, and has health improving Bacteria,
while being Booze at the same time.

Win win, and its cheap. Takes a few week s as i recall.
Fun too wach too, the ball s of GBP bouncing up and down.
