I was under the impression that DOC is one of the less friendly DOx chemicals...

I had always heard that DOC was friendlier than DOI. Either way it's what you make of it. If you are expecting to have a stellar time, then you will get that with the right setting. You will probably be way to excited to even consider having a bad time if you do it right. It's important that you set aside plenty of time for tripping and crashing afterward though.
