Would Kynurenic acid have activity as a dissociative comparable to Ketamine?

No, it binds at a different site on NMDAr (glycine site rather than PCP/channel block).
It also very likely lacks the secondary actions of ketamine as a DARI/antinicotinic agent.
 
sekio, it actually binds on the glutamate site on NMDA-R I believe, and it is an alpha-7 nAchR antagonist too, but it is a nasty substance, OP do you want to try MPTP and MK-801 as well? They sound like fun...
 
I haven't gone back and checked the primary literature, but according to the wikipedia article its activity at the glutamate receptors is in the mM range. Isn't this an awfully high concentration for the desired effect? What kind of doses are we talking to get blood concentrations to that level?
