I know that they're using acetone+synthetic canna to make the fluid they spray on plants, but my friend (who claims to be good at chemistry) says alcohol would be a lot more safer. Because some of the acetone stays in the final (Spice) product, and it's not too healthy. Pure alc. woulod be a safer way? (I know there's no safe way to use Spice, that's why I said safer).

The role of a solvent is to evaporate off completely and leave the solute behind, at least in this case. If they are both pure then they will both evaporate cleanly and everything will be exactly the same. Acetone has a faster rate of evaporation because of less hydrogen bonding and people use it over ethanol for that reason.
