Basically I was at a 5 day festival, and on those 5 days I took a total of 12mdmapills which I was told were tested and had atleast 250mg in each. As I was told this I did not worry about the effects of them until returning home where I found my self not having the normalcomedownI felt nausea so proceeded to sleep, drink as much as possible and eat well. Hoping this would make be feel better which I didn't for almost two weeks now. I also tried smokingweedbut iy has just made the problem worse and made me paranoid of my symptoms. Is there any explanation or advice to try and speed up the recovery im not stupid I know theres not a quick fix but I would like some advice

I've been hearing of people having very lengthy comedowns for months, or even years. (But those are extreme cases). For me, it was always a 12 hour thing, 24 at the most. You have to just be patient and let your brain re-regulate its serotonin levels at it's own pace, dependent on your own metabolism, and I don't think you can force it to happen through drugs, although maybe SSRI'S could help....?

Taking no more drugs is your best option for a faster recovery. Just remember you will eventually come right. Thinking that you will come right, and not dwelling on the situation your in will help x100. You can't change the past - what done is done. Remember that. Fuck the past. What's done is done, just leave it alone, and don't regret it..

It will get better. It will be a struggle. you used 3 grams of MDMA!! INSANE It could be months or even years like dope has said... But you might feel better very soon, who knows.
Exercise, eat good food - this will help you so much. More than you'd think.

Also, again, taking no drugs is best option by far. Try to avoid weed and alcohol.

look at taking some 5htp also. Not all the time though. It is a supplement, i wouldn't recommend taking it all the time, just few times a week.

brain can heal itself like any other body part, just takes time!

I got pretty burned out on MDMA. I had been dosing very heavy doses at least twice a week for about 4 years.

I would take about 5 pills until I got a line on some Molly and I would take a double dose and usually re-dose to prolong my roll and more often than not I would roll from Friday night until Sunday morning perpetually re-dosing.

I would really suggest stopping MDMA. If it was me I would try to find something to relax me. I find benzos, pain pills, and mary jane to be the kindest when I am hurting. I am not suggesting a drug binge by any means.

I suggest you take it easy and look after your health. Vitamins really help. So would hydration. Exercise and Meditation sure cannot hurt. Don't push yourself to hard as psychosis is definitely a possibility.

So take it one day at a time. Maybe one hour at a time. Maybe one minute or one second at a time. Do what you got to do to keep it together and clean up for a while. I found I was in a rough place for a long time following my heavy use of MDMA. However I was doing a lot of other drugs as well.

It was one hell of a train wreck in my life when I got to the point where I knew that MDMA had really fucked my mind and body up. I guess the best thing to do, is to try the hardest you can to do right by yourself.

All the same I would try to pad the crash one way or another. Maybe take a bit of time off work or at least ease up your schedule a bit.

Its gonna take some time to get it together. The best option is to make the best of it.

Thanks for your advice people

I know it was a large amount but I was one of 5 lads which all took similar amount of the same stuff and im the only one suffering such problems my ears still ring could ear damage be a part of my slight dizzyness

yeah im going to look into 5htp fish oils and multi vitamins to give me a start but I cant really take any time off work without admitting my problem to them which would mean no job so im just going to do paperwork for a while and try to do a small steady amount of exercise each day and yes im been drinking atleast 2+ litres of water each day and plenty of fruit and protein

I think what damage you feel you've caused; will be able to heal itself, with time, most likely. If it doesn't come right soon it wont hurt talking to a doctor. I would recommend no drugs unless your doctor really says so.

Just remember to also take it easy. If you feel like you need rest, rest as much as you can & don't overwork your body on exercise. Who knows - everyone is different and you might come right faster than you think.

Agreed.. Best thing to do atm is to take care of your body as much as you can and avoid mdma. Time is the greatest healer and everyone is different.

Hunker down and just hack it out. You'll be fine.

I've partied for a week on MDMA taking more than 3 grams for sure. It will just prolong the agony but you'll get there. I'm from the UK. MDMA in access is more common than in the US i'm told. The only ever time I only took one pill was my first... 20 years ago. Think someone already said it? Times the greatest healer with an MDMA comedown. Been there so so many times its not even funny. I started in 93 and boy had I some bad ones. I uses to walk about the local park in tears thinking the depression would never end. This went on for 15 years. If weeds your thing... shoot. I'd advice against booze and benzos. I was never really a big drinker back then and am glad and for the love of god thank fuck I never even knew what benzos where. They would have made it piss easy but benzos have now messed my head up all these years later.

Its a lot harder when your young or emotionally fragile

To be honest, you should have expected this when you did that much... You probably depleted supplies of neurotransmitters. You're probably running on E. You're brains gotta recharge. Highest quality food possible. Fruits and veggies. Super powerful multivitamins, most def no alcohol, no drugs at all. Even benzos which sound like they'd make things easier, but it will be temporary, short, and make the whole process take longer. You basically have to be as healthy as humanly possible. Who knows, you might just be able to continue these habits.

It's been a few weeks now OP, can you update us? How are you feeling? Did you do anything special to cope with your comedown?

I'll add my views on this for the record if nothing else.

I used MDMA a great deal for 8 years solid probably averaging 3 times a month for that period with inevitable escalating doses, the parties I attended would often run well into the afternoon of the next day so redosing was inevitable.

The comedowns did become progressively worse, in particular I would throw up a fair amount a day or so afterwards but my mental state was also affected.

Apart from lots of rest fluids and good food I never tried any chemicals to cushion the lows, in some ways comedowns can be useful in signalling you need to review your intake.

Years later I suffer acute depression, some of the symptoms have been with me all my life maybe the MDMA contributed to making them worse, who knows it's a complex physical and psychological dilemma I see no value in trying to unpick.

As a matter of interest I react very badly to any SSRIs, I've tried about 4-5 and all made me very ill with symptoms running from projectile vomiting, hallucinations and in the case of Sertraline internal bleeding, 5HTP gave me the most horrific nightmares I've ever experienced.

I've had better results from tricyclics and SNRIs which would seem to be at odds with the general view that MDMA wrecks your serotonin system, most of that evidence comes from a report based on squirrel monkeys being injected daily with stupid amounts.

I'm in no way advocating regular use of MDMA but the fact remains that in the UK during the 1990's 1000,000s took the substance on a regular basis and as yet no evidence has been found to suggest a marked increase in mental health or indeed any other issues. Clearly abusive use and very high doses are bound to lead to problems, just like any other active substance but I fear that the hysteria around MDMA feeds the anxiety of the crash and causes some of the very symptoms then reported.

For the OP, these things will heal in time and you will put it down to experience, but of anxiety persists do seek medical advice you may need a helping hand to get back on track.

Hi thanks for your advice its been a whole month since I took mdma. I have smoked occinsoinly but this just makes me anxious now which I should have expected. I have had a beer a couple of times which didn't seem to make it much worse but still I dont seem to be able to shake the slightly blurred vision and ringin do need to do more exercise and stay away from all drugs/alcohol. But have been eating healthy and drinking loads of water whilst taking multi vitamins and omega 3 each day and was taking 5htp for a couple of the weeks on and off not sure of timeframe I should be using ut for so stopped for a lil while. From what I understand most of this is prolonged due to me being anxious about what I have done to my self and I struggle to switch of from it when im not busy. I do want to go to a doctor but i dont really know what to say and i am concerned about whether my work will find out about the drugs

I've come off a few stimulant binges before - the last one 9 months ago really fucked me up for almost half a year, and certainly for the first 4 months, I was a bit of a nervous, anxiety-ridden wreck. I was even paranoid to the point of extreme - details aren't necessary, but yeah, I seriously had full blown delusions about people finding out about my drug history off of no evidence whatsoever. Anyway, I barely smoked weed except for two times in that time span, which was crazy for me, considering that I'd been a constant pothead for up to 4 years prior. I drank a few times right after my last binge happened, because it was winter break and I was hanging with old friends, but that was NOT a good idea. Nothing crazy happened to me, but I had some definite heart palpitations, and the worst hangovers of my life, even though I would have just been drinking a few regular beers. Just to back up what other people are saying, yea, keep off the drugs/alcohol for another 3-4 months, at least. Also avoid cigarettes, if that isn't a given.

If you want my advice, I'd go to the gym and put on some muscle. It's a very easy way to make you feel better mentally and physically and it'll help your body along the recovery process. If you go hard and put on a few pounds of pure muscle over a few months, the improvements in your state of being should be fairly obvious. That's been my experience. Walking and just doing some kind of light exercise in general isn't a bad thing, and it's actually a great start, but it's only a start if you want much more noticeable and immediate results, in my opinion - consciously working day in and day out to build muscle takes regular exercising up several exponential notches - it's like going from smoking dirt schwag to 25% sensimilla. Stimulant binges have to be directly counteracted, so be active and go at it. And also, I know that it should be fairly obvious, but if I were you I'd definitely stay off any type of stimulant for a good, long, while, including caffeine. Don't risk it. Peace.

^Another great advice here.. I am 100% positive that working out helped me out in the toughest stages of my comedown. At least half an hour of cardio every day or every other day to sweat out the bad stuff really helps and I can guarantee you that you will feel way much better. This plus eating a healthy diet. Try to limit your intake of fatty foods/fast food and stick to vegetables and fruits and food rich in trytophan.

I ate 7-8 pills worth of MDMA at once the day before yesterday and Im also feeling a bit off (got shitfaced on liquor and was given the powder from the bottom of a "boat" of MDMA pills). Ive used it probably only 15-20 times total but it seems that theyve been in much larger doses than most people and this last dose is sticking around.

I am broke until Tuesday and dont have any vitamin supplements on hand. Aside from fixing a sensible home cooked meal, and hydrating properly, the only other thing I can think of is a bunch of old tea in the cupboard. Are there enough of the vitamins in the tea to make a difference? Or is the caffeine going to do more damage in the long run?

@dankplantgrower, personally, exercise and nutritious meals do way more than the multivitamins etc all that shit did. I kept as far away from the coffee and alcohol as I could, I felt way better on the day and day after(s) when I didn't conse them.

Find out about your pills but because a "pill" isn't a unit of measurement these days, it could be any amount. :( Hopefully for you they were just incredibly shit Aussie pills with 30mg MDMA in it, 7-8 of them you would have had a normal dose and the sad thing is, that little amount isn't completely out of the question.....
