when weed was illegal, i knew what smells were gonna be good even with the real faint ones, but now there are so many smells and a lot of the stuff reeks from across the room hardcore and it's poor smoke, i can't keep track. most of it doesn't smell like the bud that i was getting illegally... there are so many different smells from cannabis. i've been noticing the smell of the smoke even smells different too on a different subject.

there is one dispo with a house brand that i always get now. it's good smoke for a great price..

yeah i really wish i knew where my bud came from. and the exact story of it. we got some buds that were always like 1/8th or 1/4th nugs with bigger size what i'll call "pop corn" on the side for a while and the dude would have a stacked coffee table of the nugs that he'd get in his trunk at a strip joint like every week. really a ton of topper 1/8th buds on this dudes coffee table. that was the most fire bud i ever had. no dispo weed is as dense. this particuarly weed wasn't frosty but had those crystals that shined in the light. super spicey. absssolute fire.

i got a few of the same strains from the dispo i go to when the bud was illegal. it's legit just as good... not the most potent shit where one hit gets you high, but two to three hits and i'm golden... i can pack like a half gram bowl and get ripped in one hit and blow it in a smoke buddy and get high for a bit. it's perfectly fine. got that medicinal feel unlike a lot of dispo.... this bud i describe from the dispo that i'm pretty sure was around illegally was from the same dealer with the sick nugs in the first paragraph. he took me down to his boys to see what his coffee table was like. he always picked up the best shit. was super picky and talked to everyone about bud. good person to know. just some nerdy dude from high school. my boys from the skate park picked up shit that wasn't the best. i have no idea what's up with that. i'm sure skaters some places get fire.

Ive worked in dispensaries for decades and I deffinately try to not smoke legal flower, especially from new york. Theres a couple places like maine and parts of Colorado that are really doing the thing properly. But like, edibles and vapes are whatever....but when it comes to flower, I cant specifically tell you why, but dispensary weed is vastly inferior no matter the caliber or price point.

The real advantage to legal states, in my eyes, is the ability for you/your friends/neighbors to grow legally.

Just like how the food you grow yourself is going to be healthier and better for you than store bought items, the same principle applies to cannabis
