who ya got?

Viva Espana! they have been my second-tier team since the Euro Cup, where Spain and David Villa seemingly came out of nowhere and won most with ease. Spain has always been well represented in the EPL and other formidible football teams, but have never really clicked together on the biggest stages.

the Netherlands is an obviously talented squad, but I still doubt (like everyone else) if they can get away from their "pretty" approach and play gritty football. Spain plays great possesion football, with David Villa taking most of the scoring chances. some say he is a ball hog, but I say he is my favorite international player.

should be interesting nonetheless. vote away!

If Spain continue to play like they did against Germany then they are unbeatable and the Netherlands have been far from convincing in any match they have played.

holland!
been my team other then australia the whole way and have 50 bucks from the start of the cup on them.

havent been convincing? unlike spain theyve won every game so far (no draws) and against brazil were deadly.

visiting amsterdam in september so hoping i can participate in the celebrations

Yes but other than Brazil they have not really met anyone they were not expected to beat.

They didnt beat Brazil. Brazil beat Brazil by self imploding. New Zealand would have beaten Brazil that day.

Look I do believe Spain are definitely beatable but they wont get stunned by the bright lights like Germany did and that is a possible problem for Holland.
Unless Holland play like Paraguay did then they have not a snowflakes chance of beating Spain.
Spain cannot be allowed to dictate play.
Unlike the pathetic German coach, the Holland coach needs to turn up with a plan of how to beat them.
Paraguay got it right even though they never had the cattle and were mighty close to pulling it off.
Netherlands certainly have the cattle but do they have the coach?
Time will tell. I wish them all the best because I would love to see an interesting final.

There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch. ;)

I am a long time Barcelona fan and it is good to finally see the Catalonia Academy make it's presence felt in world soccer. Pique, Puyol and Iniesta in particular have had a great season and with Villa playing for them next year they may be unstoppable in the Champions league. Axel some would argue that the La Liga is far superior to the EPL.

It's also good to see one of the old school football nations (who ever wins) finally crack a world cup.

?????????

There is no argument. The EPL? What decade are you referring to? Currently the EPL is not even close.

The EPL is still number 1 according the UEFA's League co efficient rating but that takes in more placings in Champions League. Personally I love the EPL but more because of the slick packaging of the competition. The Spanish La Liga still has the Haves/ Have nots but the overall style and passion shown by clubs and fans is more appealing.

I have my own reasons for hating on the Dutch (and I'm sure the majority of the population of South Africa may also side on the Spaniards).

Netherlands has fewer arseholes, so I'd prefer them, but they're no better than Germany and play in a similar style; can't see past Spain lifting the trophy, sadly.

hahaha I had no idea there was such a thing. Cheers mate. I know if I was among the top 100 or so players which league I want to play in..........its where the money is and i would be following all the other top class players to Spain.
I agree the EPL package is good and well marketed but the quality is not as good as it once was.
It all goes in cycles though, not so long ago the serie a was top of the tree.

Why would any top athlete want to play in Spain? Absolutely no competition, 2 teamed race with every other team falling far below. A level of gamesmanship rivalled only by Serie A and equally as much debt and dodgey dealings as the EPL only, in the case of Real Madrid, it is covered by the government and banks and the in the case of Barcelona's 500m+ debt...I don't actually know how that isn't slaughtered yet EPL teams debts are...
