Working Out cured my depression

I agree.

I can be a bit of a basket case at times. I have anxiety and OCD type issues that creep up every so often. But since I started hitting the weights 4 or 5 days a week I've never felt more mentally and emotionally stable. I find that things that would normally upset me have no effect on me and I'm overall a much more confident and relaxed individual.

I've been lifting weights on and off for the last decade or so but I've finally gotten serious about it and wish I had the wherewithall to have stuck to a routine ages ago. Another bonus is that I have a lot of self image issues from having been a skinny dude my whole life, so now that I'm slowly getting bigger I'm starting to feel a little more confident in my appearance. Still have 20 pounds or so to put on before I reach my initial goal, which will take quite some time.

I feel the same exact way.

I suffer from social anxiety and slight depression.

Working out completely helps me express my self. Its a forgotten helper when you get lost in psychedelic experiences.
