Working out and cannabis

It's weird, I'm a recovering binge eater, and I've never once gotten 'the munchies'. If anything I tend to eat less when I'm stoned, even just a bit.

When I was first starting to go to the gym, years and years ago, I was told that a couple of puffs before lifting was the way to go, then save the rest of the joint for when you get home. I did it once, and was so bloody paranoid that I've not tried it since. Granted, back then I had virtually no tolerance. And now I have no more sources, so I can't repeat the experiment. Besides, my lungs are in rough shape, so if I had some herb I'd probably rather not smoke it anyway.

I love vaporizing...I need to get on that SOON.

Tripping this afternoon mildly and smoking a bit I realized how shitty smoking is, even marijuana. Marijuana smoke is real thick and causes phlegm to buildup in me. Vaporizing would be so much healthier.

alright...next sack I buy I'm going to buy a vaporizer.
 
It pays for itself really. We had to rationalize the cost of a Volcano. You don't waste anything. It doesn't make the room thick with smoke and stank. It is a tastier cleaner inhalation and a easy exhalation. I have allergy/exercise induced asthma. My only symptom is coughing. I don't want to irritate my lungs and I am not quitting weed in a smoke form. Eating weed is a committment...like now on the wind down of my weekend I ate a cookie an hour ago. So I ramble but get a vape.
 
Mmmm. I've vapourized oil before, but I'd love to get a volcano. Not much point atm, but if/when I get a good connection again then that will be high on the list of things to get. Until then, on the rare occasions that I come across a one-off hookup, then I'm more than happy to make a batch of cannabutter and enjoy that.

I can't imagine it going well if I were to do that and work out though.
 
Eat a cookie then work out? Fuck no! I'd be lucky to have the desire to run a vacuum around the house let alone train at the gym! Me eat cookie me take it easy =D
 
How about getting high then hiking, swimming, yoga, or team sports? pure win imo :)

Nope, not yet. It's decriminalized (up to a 1/2 oz possession for everyone and a few plants for personal use if you have a 'script), but still technically illegal to grow and sell. I'm next to BC, so there's some good herb around, but 90% of it is still biker commercial-grade plonk. I used to have a great hookup, but that's over now, and I'm only recently starting to put out feelers for a new one. But it's been so long that I don't really have much of a connection to that scene anymore, odd though that sounds.

Sometimes I miss it, but usually I don't.

I don't really like to get high and run because my reaction time feels sluggish and smoking tends to dry me out so I get dehydrated faster. I do like to smoke and then do something slower / flow-inducing, like lifting or yoga, so I can just zone out. I generally wait to smoke post-workout, though, it feels nice when I have tired muscles.
 
i swim for a hour a day at a medium fast pace five days a week and the days when i am stoned i fined myself going faster have more control of my breathing and higher energy levels
 
^^I was friends with a bunch of water polo players in Uni. I would honestly say that %50 were serious pot heads. Water polo is a major lung sport too.
