Yo everyone this is my first posting on here. I've been reading all your guys topics and discussions on blue light for a while now and I'm pretty sure this is the place I can find the answer I am looking for before I make my decision. I've been prescribed oxy Neo 80mg since 2012 from the old oxy contin which I've been on since 2003. I'm very curious if the generic apo brand 80s are equivalent in strength and last as long for pain relief compared to the oxy Neo brand 80s ? I've tried both types but when I've tried the apo brand I was extremely in a lot of pain and was very pill sick because my doc was on vacation for the week I was due for my meds but somehow let it slip his mind to leave me and 6 other patients that I know of our scripts for very high amounts of narcotics that we've been on for a while now, what a guy that doc of mine is hey lol. Anyways back to topic, I managed to find a friend of mine who was prescribed the apos and although it did take my sickness away and some pain relief he could only spare me 4 and those had to last me for 3 more days after already being out of my own for 2 days so I could only take one a day and I'm prescribed 6 oxy neo 80s per day (3 tabs every 12 hrs) and 12 5mg/325mg of percocet per day (2 tabs every 4 hrs) and those of you who have been taking oxys on regular basis knows that from being without my pills for that amount of time and then only being able to take not even a quarter of what I'm perscribed to be taking or in fact what my body has been use to having I wasn't able to tell whether or not if indeed the apos are better than the neos or not because I wasn't getting what I needed to cope with for pain and the sickness and o yes plain brutal torture lol to tell the difference. My Dr I have now has mentioned to me that the price difference compared between the both types are extremely different in being that the apos are almost half the cost of what the oxy neos are and for being prescribed 6 neos a day and I get a 30 day script at a time which is 180 neos per month ( won't or don't need to say what the price is as I will respect the rule of not discussing it) in her opinion the strength and long lasting effect should be close to the same or just the same. Mind you I've read a lot of you guys pretty much hate the neos and everyone is in titled to their own opinion I myself take them orarly and actually like the oxyneo. Yes although I'm taking them for pain relief I myself also snort at least 2-3 neos a day but only after I've eaten 2-3 first. I'm sure you guys know how to prepare neos for sniffing and not myself but I do have a few friends that Iv the neos as well. I've been on both the old school cdns and the new well not so new now neos and in my opinion when you do up the neos like we do to sniff there's not much difference what so ever between old school oxys and the neos. I'm not going to discuss the method of preparing the neos most likely you all know how it's done any how. I'm paying cash straight up for my scripts can not get coverage what so bloody ever for my oxys perks I can but come off It to buy perks at the paharmacy coSt next to nothing anyways and I get 360 of them a Month and the cost is nothing so can anyone give their opinion on weather or not apo oxy 80s are the same for strength and long lasting effect as the neo oxy 80s ? If it wasn't for the freaking amount the pharmaceutical companies have for the damn neos compared to that of the apos I'd most likely just stick with the neos but if I can get the same relief from the apos for half the freaking cost it just makes sense for me to do just so rite? And guys I'll apologize for the big old long rambling life story I got going on here but I just wanted to tell my whole story so everyone knows exactly why I'm asking for your guys input. And I'll makes all you guys this promise rite now that this will be my first, only and last long half of a novel post I'll ever make on here again if I make anymore posts here I'll remember to keep it short and sweet, cross my heart lol so there ya have it that's this newfoundlander from Canada's question and post for today...... anyone out there think they can give me some good and helpful feedback? All and any input will be greatly appreciated and thanks for taking g the time to read my post and hopefully someone out there can take the time to give me their opinion on the subject
