Decided to give up hydro today. Didn't taper just planned on stopping cold. I don't know if wd is causing panic but I feel like I'm experiencing several APAP overdose symptoms. It could be panic driven. In recent months I've always taken Hydros with NAC. Over the past 10 weeks I've been running at 17 norco at a pop. Morning noon evening. 6,6,5. Some less. It's my wedding anniversary. Bummed that I'm freaking out or affriad I've od'd on APAP once and for all.

Anxiety is certainly experienced during PAWS.

What makes you think you are experiencing APAP OD symptoms?

I'm on day 3 myself - again - and with anxiety was a big one for me. I'm in outpatient now and the cocktail they gave me to get through the wd's were a lot better than trying to go CT. There were no narcotics in the cocktail, but it cut way down on the RLS and anxiety as well as the runs. Good luck Eo1. The doctor who was prescribing you should be able to get you to a doctor that can help you though the early stages.

how are u doing now? I'm on day 1of quitting H. No $ so I can't get SHIT. someone give me some advice please!!! i also have no gas in my car so cannot go anywehere.

Hey there hungry E, I'm actually doing pretty darn good. My first three days SUCKED. It's really hold on time. If you can, try and take as many hot showers or baths as possible. My BP spiked and I had really bad RLS and the shits and the rest of everything else that comes along with those WDs.

All I can tell you is try and drink as much water as you can and sit in the sun if possible and baths...lots of baths. Hot water and sunlight were the two things that made any difference for me. After 72 hours, the physical aspects tail off and then you can start to decide if you're going to stay clean (I did) or if you're not ready. Even if you're not ready to stay clean, stick around these forums. There's a lot of really good sobriety on here.

And when you are able, check out a meeting (NA, AA whatever is close) there are lots around and those people know what you are going through as well. Just hang in there and know that you can handle the next 72 hours. It's going to hurt, but the pain is temporary.
