I am on 2 mg a day of klonopin for years now. I decided to up my dose for finals week to about 3-4 milligrams.

Now I woke up vomiting and with diarrhea. I have been moaning in mental pain as I cannot get comfortable no matter what i do.

I still have my prescription and took 2 milligram yesterday. Am I withdrawing since I upped the dose and then did a drop? I cannot even type straight and i'm very uncomfortable.

What should I do?
Should I up my dose for the meantime?

This is really something you should talk to your doctor about, let them know that finals are this week and you have been under a lot of stress trying to cram all of your studies and it's been a nightmare trying to find the balance.

As for the WD's, after you make the apoitment then do whatever it takes to get there without getting sick. You should also speak with your doctor about this, He might switch you to a benzo that would help more in this situation.
All the best,

Could be a rebound effect or something totally different like random physical illness. I would up the dose a bit and see if the symptoms get better or not. Benzos are strange drugs, you could also get tolerance withdrawal where you withdraw all the time even when you are upping the dose. Thats a serious mess.

How long its been after you switched back to 2mg daily dose? If its just 1 day then give it a couple of days it may well resolve itself.

Thank you guys. I upped the dose to around 3 milligrams and then down back to two again as I am becoming stable in the morning.

Cook, it was only about two days since u switched back to the regular dose.

These fucking doctors and prescribing these fucking medications telling me I can take 2 to 3 mg a day. But they didn't tell me that if I bumped up to 3 mg a day, I would suffer from withdrawal if I went back to the 2 mg.

As of right now. The main issue I am having is waking up super anxious and vomiting. Today I was able to prevent the vomiting by keeping my head busy by walking my dog briskly. Watering my lawn, and keeping my head occupied. Thank you for all the help.

I'm getting blood work done today to see how my liver enzymes are, and after all said and done and stable, I plan on weaning off of these horrible class of drugs

^^ great! You're having issues with this class of substances, or at least one of them, and you've decided to stop it with them, excellent choice!

Many people would try others, I applaud your smarts to not go that route. You're correct, some physicians are too loose with the script pad. Twelve years ago a methadone clinic owner/doctor (former anesthesiologist - wanna try to guess why he's running a clinic now?) prescribed me clonazepam due to lifelong anxiety that re-emerged when I stopped shooting dope four - six times a day. Now I'm on a roughly 65 month taper to finally get off benzos. Not fun. I got off methadone in less time from 200-mg/day.

He started me at 2-mg (damn near died the first few days) and within two months I was at 4-mg. Transferred clinics several times b/c of moving, never an issue with clinics. I digress.

Don't become dependent on benzos, you got a taste of the horror w/ds can be, it never gets better... One months script, daily user and you may be in it like myself... Can't say for certain, some can walk away no issues after six months, some get rebound shit like the OP in a very short period of time.

Benzos are a lifesaver and a life wrecker, depends upon how they are used, and the person's physiology.
