Your brother and your girlfriend are living in the place for which you pay the rent? Do you pay it all? Or do the three of you split it, and because you cannot come up with your share, all three of you will lose the place? If they are both living with you, are they able to help now that times are very tough?

Is there a market for dog-walking in NYC? Have you looked over Craigslist for ideas on quick work?
 
Try checking yourself into one of those public outpatient rehab places. Or go to a local narcotics anonymous meeting. Tell your story and be honest. People there are bound to understand what you're going through and if you're lucky, someone might be willing to help you out.
 
I have no clue if your state has this but my mother is placed in a rather easy job with many hours by a temp agency and if the company likes her performance over her temping time she is offered a full time job.
often time temp agencies will ask your story or why you need money be honest. they are there to help not judge. although if they suspect you will be spending the money on drugs then your out of the question.
not really sure of your situation though as your post is just simply "..." please elaborate for more help
